regular meeting , All justices , and Supt of ' Highways , also the board

The minutes of last meeting were read and approved , after a

meeting regarding: the salaried of town officers , seconded'- by Hoagland

A motion was made by Hoagland ' that the salaries of the ustic .ea
of peace remain the same as= the 1944 Budget , seconded by Baker and carried
by a Unamious • roll call vote .
A motion was made bySpaulding that the other town officers be
accepted as of the 1944 budget and salaryyepayment.as of 1943 except the
assessors who shall be paid 2 , ofesaiary . the 6th to . and the remainder
the 9th mo . seconded by Hoagland and carried by a roll call vote.

Chairman Downey told the board of the facts : in regards to the
matter of not being able to find the pass book . 7Sh the Towns Mb Arthur Fund
and explained the Bank ' s requirements neccessary- to issue a new one , as am
result a motion wasp made by Hoagland that 1 , Ed Sweetland be give. . To n days •
to prodlace the pass brook- to the MbC.rthur Fund or post a;. bond for issueins
a new one seconded by '' paulding and carried by a roll call vote , all yes

The question . of Fumigating the Olmstead House was discussed and
Cornelius estimated thS cost . as 37 ..00 .

to authorize Mrs Nicely - to purchase the bath room outfit of the Clay Datons

as a committee reported that so far as he could learn the lower floor
• ' apartment of the Olmstead house should be papered and painted . .
A letter from Charles Newman relative to the Grey Hound Bus
Line was read and Beck moved that the following resolution be adopted , ;
seconded by Hoagland and carried . ( resolution on file )
• Hoagiandmoved to hold a public hearing at the office of the
Town clerk on March 15 1944 @ T,= 30 P . M . on - the matter - of the Frey Hound
Petition?, seconded by Cornelius and Carried . .
A bill from the Ithaca Fire Dept . for 450 . 00 for attending a
Fire near Bethel grove was read and Baker moved that the clerk take
the matter up with the Dryden Fire Chief , seconded by Cornelius and carric
Hoagland Moved that the Supwrvasors bond for school monies
be approved seconded by Beck and carried;
A bill for 469 . 50 for an . adding machine for the Highway Dept .
was read and Hoagland moved it be - paid , seconced- by Beck and carried by a
roll call vote .
A statement on a refund to Don Rogers of ce25 . 90 in the dog
case was read and a motion was made by Baker to make this refund sec0 n ed
' • by ` oagland and carried by a roll call vote .
Downey reported regardibg . the installation . of the Welfare
bfficers telephone and an estimated cost by Crosby was given . Nicely
reported on her trip to Albany as also did the Supv .
It was decided" to lower the price of the townwood to X5 . 00
per corcy delivered or 44 . 00 - at the yard , by fires notifying the welfare
officer . Upon the request of: the Chairman the Minutes of the meeting were
read and approved . Upon motion meeting was adjourned .
