Downey presiding . • The minutes : of the lasttwo meetings were read and approved . A motion was made by Spaulding to a ppoint Leafie Vandermark as Registrar ofl Vital statistics For Two years seconded by Beck and carried . The welfare bills and statement read: as follows ; Fuel 412 . 35 Milk 2 . I7 L` . tetra& 14 , 52 0 . 40 State Aid . 5 . 81 8 . 71 cost to town A motion was made by Spaulding to pay as read seconded by Cornelius and carried by a roll call vote . General bills read and Cornelius mowed they be paid as read seconded by Spaulding and carried by a roll call vote . . Highway bills read and a motion was made by Spaulding to pay same as :- - read seconded by Baker and carried by a roll call vote . The bonds of D.bwney ; Beach „ Williams „ Baker , Vandermark , Cornelius ,; Hoagland , and Spaufding were presented and Spaulding moved- that they be acceptd seconded by Beck and carried by a toll call vote . The bills for these bonds to George Bailey 4150 , 59.: was moved to be paid by Spaulding , seconded byfleck and carried by a roll call vote . Welfare officer ask the board for their opinion on the price to ask for the town wood . IZ was decided to leave the sale. of wood including price to the welfare officer . The cleaning of the Olmstead house was discussed and welfare officer advised to have this done in the near future . The question of salaries and time of payment os same was discussed a _ .m motion: was made . by Spaulding that the salaries remain the same as 1943 , time of payment the same except the assessors who should be paid the 6th & 9th Month , seconded b : Cornelius and carried_ by a roll call vote . . Baker Yes „ Beck no , ; Spaulding yes , Hoagland. not present at this time , a motionwas made by Baker that the justices be paid as in the Annual budget as adopted , seconded by Cornelius and carried by a unamious roll call vote . A letter from the association was read regarding the convention and a motion was made by Spaulding that Chas Downey be designated as a delegate to t this meeting and Edna l\licclyr be desginated as alternate seconded by Beck and • carried . A motion was made by Baker that any town officer needing legal advice • employ Chas Newman-: seconded by Beck and carried Cornelius reported That he had been requested to take up the matter of improvement on the Varna depot road as to widening areETC . and stated that in as much as Cornell University had leased some land in that vicinity , they would be willing to help on the improvement of this road . It was agreed that Mr . Cornelius tallc the matter over with the proper authorties at the University and learn more about the planiand report at an later meeting . Upon motion meeting adjourned . .
