The minutes of last meeting read and approved . 4flstice Downey reported that he had talked with Sweetland regarding the ditching on private propertgand Sweetland ' s opinion, was that it should be carried on as irn the past . The matter of the towns portion- of revenue from the salvage drive was discussed and a motion was made by Baker that Martin Beck be appointed as a court ' of one to look into the matter of the recovery of the towns share $ 2 . 00 per ton and such amount be put in the fund for civilian defence , seconded by Spaulding and carried by a roll call vote . The Highway Supt . stated that his H! Yt#& Machinery fund and item 4 bills of highway and general amounted to4603 , 54 . Tr'e Highway bills were read and a motion made by Baker to pay as read was seconded by Downey and carried by a < roll calf vote. .
