The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. The salary of the new justice Charles Downey was discussed and the estimate read A motion was made by Beck that his salary be fixed at # 125 . 00 with # 25 . 00 for office expense seconded by Spaulding and Carried by a roll call vote . • - 4 . Bill for bonds and Olmstead for hauling wood. was read and a motion was made by Beck to pa y as read , second d by Downey and carried by a roll call vote . . - Dr . McKinney came to the meeting- and advised- regarding the bill of Earl " Lupton for installation of blackout lights which had been tabled at a previ meeting - awaiting an explanation . A motion was made by Beck to papas read se seconded by Spaulding and carried by a roll call vote . . Dr . McKinney informed the board that Etna had made a request for a siren and . a motion was made by Spaulding that the town purchase a siren for the village oft Etna , upon approval after a trial , seconded by Cornelius and a roll call vote was taken with following result ; Baker NO - DvwneyNO- Spaulding yes - Cornelius YES - Beck NO . Not carried . • Downey brought the matter before the board of hating a publicity agent appointed , to cover the activities of the board and proceeding of townboard ' meetings , and have same published in the two local papers Rural news and aortlai Democrat , so that the Taxt: payers of the town could have a correct And clear understanding of the town buisness .
