The town board meet at the office of the town clerk , for annuall..
accounting . _ After the accounting a short buisness session was held , with
Sweetland as chairman . .
A motion was made by Beck that in as much as it has been necessaey to
use more than the $ 2800 . 00 raised by taxfor primarytfl&a work , on town roads
that the sum 0 / 3526 , 78 recieved as state aid be allocated to make up the de -
felt . This action to be approv ed by the County Supt . . Motion not seconded .
Cornelius proposed to table the proposition untill there was a_ full attendance
of board members .
aA : letter from the Supt. of Highways read asking: for an increase of
$ 2 . QOrinpalary and also a raise for road employeeas . . A motion was made by Cor-
nelius to grant a raise to the Supt. . of _ I . 00 per day seconded by Beck and ca -
rried by a , roll call vote all yes . o ficer
A letter from Edna Nicely as read asking the board to consider a ° ° \
raise in salary - Of - 05 . 00 per mo . nd out of - County mnetage4 stating that
. she had turned into the town during her term of office floc . 99, and
Thirty - Six Tonsil cases done at the cost to the town of $ IO . 00 Mrs was presen•
at the time and expla'4ied her woek and ask to be considered for re - appointment ,
if she was . granted a raise , and if not limPligreeappointed would- like to conte
inue for one month so as to complete all case histories ancrer A motion was
made by Beck to re - appoint Mrs • Nicely at 4 , 85 , 00 per, month and expense money
on the same basis ae of the past year . seconded by Baker , roll call vote -
Cornelius no , Beck yes , Baker yes , Carried .
The bond of Cornelius , Book and Baker were approved . The following
names were submitted for Dog - Enumerators , Leland Cornelius , Kenneth English ,
Thomas Morton , Bruce Stevens , , Lester Glass , Fredrick Neff , Edward Sweetland .
. A vote was taken by Ballott with the result of a tie between Sweetland and Mor -
ton and Cornelius and Stevens . A vote was taken three times with the same resul
It was decided to postpone the appointment untill Jan 3 the date set for next ',
board meeting . After a vote of thanks to - Mrs and . Mrs Alvord for a splendid
Chicken dinner the meeting adjourned .

fare officer . Supv . Sw etland presiding ; .
The minutes of he last three meetings were read and approved . Mr .
Moery and Mr . Cooper re resenting 'rue AdamscGrader Co . were present regarding
the purchase of a new grader . Gave the price of grader s I7i9 . 00 for a mode
IO4 with a tradein allowance for the old grader469 . 00 , making the cost of new
graderI65O . O0 Weight 7570 .. A motion was made by 0ornelius , to defer action
upon the purchase of grader untill next meeting , seconded by Spa& ding ' and cam
by a roll call vote ' 11 yes, but ' Beck who voted no , and stated he thought it
best,to act upon it at this time .

Leafie Vandermark as Besistrar of Vitai ' Statistics for two years seconded by
Beck G,arried by a rollcall vote . allyes .
A motion was made by Spaulding that the board reccomend Ira Reed ,
and. Edward Welser to the sherriff to be appointed as special deputied , seconde
by Ctrne . flus and carried by a roll call vote .
A letter was read from associattdn of towns was read in regards to se
sending delegates to convention decided not to .
Eight application fer dog enumerators was read . a vote was to ken
with the result two for Sweetla nd and three for Cornelius and Stevens .
Cornelius and Stevens Declared duly appointed . .
Baker suggested that the town board meetings be held somswhere in Etna
Stating that it would be a saving to his tires and Spaulding could wait on cus -
tomers and suggested that Beach transport the Supv . and Clerk , to Etna in the
Town truck . A motion was made by Cornelius that the chairman appoint a lmiitt -
ee of two to make inquiries into thr legality of such a nhovse , where to b.-° seld ,
and cost of same , seconded by Baker and carried by a rollcall vote . The chair-
man appointe Spaulding and Baker as such a committee . Up on motion meeting ad-

Sweetland in the chair . The minutes of last meeting read and approved .
Supt . Beach reporte & that he had made inquiries into the cost of re -
pairingthe pick -up truck , , and stated such as from # I75 . 00 to $ 250 . 00 ,
Mr . Cooper presentRegarding the sale of a grader . No action was taken .
Beach ask about a raise for road employee ' s , stating they requested. A ten to
Fifteen cent per- hour raise . A motion was made by Spaulding to increase the
machine pperators wage 0 . 05 per hour and the laborers as to the Supt . Judgem-
ent at the same ratr same to be„,effective , Feb_• First . Seconded by Cornelius
and carried by a roll call vote al-lyes .
The wage of the road employees & are at the Dollowing rate -

A motion was made by Baker to pay as read - seconded by Cornelius and
carried by a roll call vote .
The welfare officer explained that if she was allowed to pay the hos -
pital cash for the hospitalization of the Martin con i eiliot, case_ ', which
is to be reinbursted $to the town , the amount would be reduced from , 50 . E
to 425 . 00 Therefore a motion was made by Spaulding authorizing the welfare
pffieer toipay the 425 . 00 seconded by Baker and carried by , a roll call
vote . .

seconded by Cornelius and carried by a roll call vote .
. Monthly bills read and a motion madeby Cornelius rto pay same as read ,
except the Whitford bill pending an explanation regarding- two entrees seem-
ingly belonging to Freeville village , and also a correction on the Louie Tha -
yler bill . Seconded by Spaulding and carried by a roll call vote . The Clerk
was also advised to inform Mr . Thayler to present his bill , if any afr;. the
. first of' each month .

report from the committee , regarding holding board meetings in Etna , Comm .
reported no progress had been made as yet . Chairman ask if the board thought
it advisable to discontinue the mid- month meeting , it was thought best to
wait for a decision on this questionnuntill a full board was present . Supt .
ask about the purchase of a grader , no action was taken . It was decided to
have the town mechanic , Dean Smith repair the Town Pick up truck . Upon motion .
meeting adjourned .
