The town board meet at the office of the town clerk , for regular meeting

to his property which was at one time a highway . Amotion was made by justice
Baker , that the /ighway Supt . take. the matter up with the county Supt , of highwayE
and learn what cbuld be dote . seconded by Cornelius and carried by a roll call vc
vote . all yes
Welfare bills and statement , read as follows;

A motion was made by . Beek , to pay as read , seconded by Baker and carried
by a roll call vote , all. yes ,.
A - bill " for justice manuals was read and a motion was made by Beck to
return the manuals seconded by Baker and carried by, a roll call vote .
All other monthly bills read& inciudeing highway and a motion was made
by Beck seconded by Baker to pay as read , carried by a roll call vote: Upon
motion meeting adjourned,

The town board meet at the office of the town clerk for regular
meeting _, , • with all Justices , Supt , of highways abd welfare officer present.
Supv . '7weetlarpd presuding . • .
Claude ascome and William Strong of Freeville was present and spoke
• regarding the- road at the four corners in Freeville , leading to MCLean , and
ask to have this crossing graded and fixed . .
A motion ' was made by Spaulding that the board enter into an agreement ,
with the Village of Freeville as follows - -

The Dryden! .down Board of Dryden to loan all neccessary machinery to grade
the two crossings .a . the; inegrporfl, d. is alage of Freeville , ozi"tiCliigh*a ,
leading to Mc Lean . Town to loan the neccessary - - trucks , shovel ;grader , . bull -
dozer , and roller ; the village of. Freeville to furnish fuel- and oil , operators
and material • and to assume compensation onall machine operatorsand laborers
The machinery to be under the • supervision of town Supt . of Highways .
seconded by Cornelius Roll call vote , all yes Carried .
tThe bill - lof Burch Hammond as fire warden was read ; and a motion was - made
by Cornelius to pay same as read , caddied by a roll , call vote .
The clerk ; reported on a piece of road near the George Tucker place , as
he had asked toihave some improvememt , . or to abandoned same ; A motion was mad
by Beck for Supt . to take this road in question up with Mr . Pucker and see what
was wanted and what he could do and report , at the . nex • meeting , seconded by :'i
Spaulding and carried by a roll call vote all yes . Beach reoorted he . had nearly
comlpeted the MOtt road and had it partly. oiled . Motion mad to adjourn .

A letter froth the assossiations of towns , explaining the case , of state aid
monie9 for ighways , being taken from the towns . also a • letter from Attorney ewa
' Newman , approveing of the town of Dryden to enter jointly with the other . towns
to make an attempt to recover the deficieton state aid . the following resolution
asaprepared by. the assossations of towns was read and a motion was made by
Munsey that the said resolution be adopted and have it forwarded in a proper .f : .:
manner , seconded by Cornelius and carried by a rol , call vote all tee .

A letter was also rprese,nted bp the board in a form of a petition asking._ for
improvements on a road near the state game farm knpown as the Dodge road . A motion
was made . by Munsey that if money was available tha Suptfill up the holes on this
road and clean out the culverts seconded by Baker and carried by a roll call vote
It was agreed to canvass the vote on Thursday after election which is also
audit day . it was also agreed to have the mid month meeting in the afternoon&•of, 1
the 17 th , of Nov . atit. . M . and to have an inspection of roads at this tim • H .

Mr John Munsey offered the , following resolution - and , moved its adoption ; -
Resolved , that George R . Fearon , of the firm of Costello , dooney7& Fearon
' of Syracuse , New York , ' be and _.2 Hereby is employed for professional Services
in preparing , filing, and prosecuting. the claim of this Town against the state
of New York:, for the difference between the full amount of state aid payable to
. this tower. for the current fiscal year pursuant to Section 279 of the dighway
law and the amount actually recieved • by this . Town . . heretofore , and
Furthur Resolved that this town will pay to Mr . . Fearon immediayly the sum
of Ten DoilarsqW, 00Y Which shall be . compensation for all . services rendered
end full payment of all expenses incurred or to be incurred in preparation ,
Ifiletng %and prosecution of such claim , if such claim is not upheld , and

Furthur resolved , that this town will pay Mr . Fearon five per cent ( 5% )
of the -amount recovered by this town in the event that suchclaim is upheld
either . . as a result of the peiparation:, filing: and prosecution of such claim
or of a • similar claim of the County or some other . town or county , and
Furthur resolved , that the Supervisor of this . towir shall forward to Mr .

instruments , and proceedings as may be necessary for the preparation , filing .
