A motion was made by Spaulding : to pay as read , secinded and carried by: a
roll call vote . .
AustinnRose present and presented a bill from Dr . McCormack of $ 213 . 00
and a hospital bill of $ 5I . 00 , for careing for an infected han& contracted ,
in I939 while working for Ernest Cotterell . He stated that Walter Ki-nch , as
welfare officer had authorized this service , If the wire would care for the
family; He also stated that he thought Cotterell was liable and that he
should repay it to the town. _ ® motion was made by- Cornelius to place this bill
with our welfare office; seconded by Spaulding:, . roll call vote , Cornelius -Yes , ,
Munsey Yes , Spaulding yes , Baker yes , eck not present a$ this time . Carried.
A11 ": other monthly bills read and motion made by Baker seconded by Beck to
pay as read , carried by roll call vote ,
A petetion was presented by Mr . Cornelius from residences of Varna , Read
by town ci'erk , _asking that the board take some action and furnish means of -
enforceing HigtViay. Traffic Law through Varna i during the peak of the traffic.
After a discussrion^ on this problem a motion was made by Corneliu&, That our
Gbnstable in Varnasbe enpowered , upon complaint of any resident of the _ .4111age
of Varna to call Dewey. Whitford to assist himi in directing traffic , call .. note to
excee & : 3 call per week , on an average . Motion was seconded by Munsey and carrid
by a roll call vote % all yes . ,
Mrs Nicely presented a bill of $ 26 . 32 for trips out of town°:. and also a
bill of j6 , 55 for telephone toll calls . Motion was made by Cornelius to pay
these billss , seconded by - Spaulding . and carried by a roll call vote ,
Munsey stated - that thr R. D. iimons bridge was complete & and that Contractv

He stated that he had a pay, roll : of I4 . men at this date., ornelius stated
that he had recieved complaints of the Hunt Hill road in regard to brush; . andt.
