TheTown Board meet at the office of the town clerk , for regular monthly
meeting , all justices welfare gfficer , and sthpt present. , Supv Sweetland pre -
siding .
Minutes of last meeting ' read and after a slight correction were approved ,
Mrs- Monroe present ,:; and told of her work in caring for Mrs-= Fenner , and
ask that the Board take 'some action for her to recieve her pay, . A motion was m

County Attorney , and stating that his salary did not c:over legal advice for all
town officers ;

The town board meet at the office of the town clerk , for regular mid mo . .
meeting with all justices present , also welfare officer and Supt . of highways .
Supv; Sweetland presiding .
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved . . Mr . Thaler was
also present and after thanking the Town board for the appointment as town
4ttorneg: stated that he taken care of the George Watraus case and had obtained
a judgement . A . motion was • made by Spaulding that the welfare officer be author
ized: to assign the claim , if any against Kermit Watrous . for relief given: in:.
Cortland Co , to the amount of $ 64 . 79 from Jan. I2 I940 to April . 27 1940to
reinburst the town• of Dryden , to be assigned to George Watrous upon his payment
o f the judgement recovered against him , . seconded by' Beck and carried by a roll
call vote . .
The matter of the amount of the collectors bond was taken up and discus ° ^ "
w ith Thaler , . and a motion was made by getkat the Supv . write to the Surety Cc
and call thier attention that from our'- examinationiof the town law , particu
larly Sect . 25 it appears ', the town board has authority to fix the amount oI
the Coll . bomd . . Town board will not pay any additional premieununl.ess the
Surety C:o . can show that theyrare ehtitaled to collect this premieum , based
o n the amt . collected in taxes . . seconded by Spaulding and carried by roll call
vote .
The contract for building the bridtge by R_. D . SIMon.' s - was taken. up and.
a motion was made ' by Beck , that the town board consent to the assignment of
bridge contract awarded to Roy Shoemaker of Ithaca to the Tompkins Cpunty ,
gust C:o . econded by Spaulding and carried by roll . call vote .
A motion was ! made by Baker and seconded by Spaulding that the Supv . and
Clark - be authorized to sign the Bridge contract. Carried by roll call vote .

and 'utton in regards to the Button bill , fo& Hospitalization; , seconded by

A motion was ; made by Spaulding to start a ctio • against Myron Sherman: to
recompense the town for relief orders seconded by Raker and carried by roll c
call vote .
motion was ; made by Heck that Nicekyr purchase another buck saw , and also
pay for the two already purchased seconded by !alter and carried . Upon motion -
meeting was adjourned .
