Feb . 3 , 1939 . .
The Town Board of the Town of Dryden met at the office of the Town Clerk
Feb . 3 , 1939 for regular monthly meeting with all Justices present , also Welfare
Office Hines and Supt . Beach . Supv . Sweetland presiding . The minutes of the last
meeting read and approved . Welfare Statement for month of Jan . read as follows .

Welfare Bills read and motion made by Ackerman , seconded by Beck bills
be paid as read , Carried .
Ray Liddington and Fred Carpenter appeared before the board as a commitee
for the fireman asking town board to consider a contract with the fire Co . for
# 35 . 00 pre month untiil a pumper is purchased , after which the amount would be
50 . 00 per moo for 5 years . Motion made by Baker seconded by Ackerman for Supv .
to check up and IWO learn what power the board would have for such an approatio n
carried .
Arthur Hines resignation as welfare officer read and motion made by
Ackerman seconded by Beck resignation be accepted . carried .
All bills for the month read and motion made by Beck seconded by Ackerman
to pay bills as read . carried ,
M otion made by Baker seconded by Spaulding that he board meetings be
''
called at eight oo ' clock P - M . Carried .
IIIMotion made by Ackerman seconded by Spaulding to have Supv . look after
hireing money locally to pay off the voting machine indebtiness carried .
Motion made bySpaulding seconded by Cornelius to have purchasing comm .
stake up the matter of handleing of the gas for town equipement with Steve
Talbott . Carried . by roll call vote as follows . Beck- -yes , Baker- - yes ,
Spaulding - - yes , Cornelius - - yes , Ackerman- - yes . .
A Motion made by Ackerman seconded by Spaulding to appoint Walter
ilinch . Welfare ufficer for I939 . Motion made by Beck that Nominations be
closed , seconded by Baker . Motion made by Spaulding seconded by taker that
Town Clerk cast one ballot for Waltre ' inch or welfare ufficer . Noll call
vote as follows , Beck - - yes , " aker- - yes , Ackerman , yes , Spaulding- - yes
Cornelius - - not voting , Upon Motion made and seconded meeting was adjourned
at I - 00 A , m .

The Town Board of th;e Town of Dryden met at the office of the Town
Clerk , in a special session for the purpose of final . Arrangements for
payments of voting machines . Justices Ackerman , Beck , Baker , and Cornelius
present . Supr .. Sweetland presiding . }� .
A motion made by Ackerman , seconded by Baker to adopt resolution , as
follows on page ! 17 . Roll call "vote as follows Bedk- - yes , Baker- - yes ,
Cornelius - - yes , Ackerman- - yes , carried .
Motion made by Cornelius , seconded by Ackerman that the Bond of Dorr
Fellows collector be approved . Carried Feb . 8 , 1939 .
. The Constables manual & etc . - -of LeRoy Carter was turned overpto Town
Clerk . Upon motion made ' and seconded meeting was adjourned .
