1. Call to order (7:35) — C. Smith
2. Completion of Record of Attendance by Members
-- Present: Schutt, Beck, Smith, Richmond, Sherman, Bissen, Prentiss, Ryan

3. Review and approval of minutes from 26 June 2012 Meeting
- -Board discussed changes to the minutes.
-- Smith entertains a motion to approve minutes.

4. Additions to agenda?
S. Reports and Updates
a. Town Board — L. Lavine
-- No update
b. Town Planning Board —C. Anderson
-- Anderson informs the board that the Zoning Ordinance was approved. He says that the
Comprehensive Plan Update will be the next big thing.
c. Ad Hoc Agriculture Committee — N. Munkenbeck
-- At their meeting, they devised a list of the things they wanted to see.
d. Other Town Boards and Commissions —Jane Nicholson
-No discussion.
6. Old business
a. CEAs — Progress to date and next steps
-- Nicholson explains the progress on the CEA's to the Conservation Board; 1, 2 and S have been
finalized, 6 -12 will be introduced on 19 July, and 13 -20 will be introduced in the august meeting.
She says that there is going to be a public hearing in September. The next mailing goes out next
week for 6 -12. She will finish 21 -30.

-- Anderson talks about the CEA's, that aren't considered, to be used as educational tools.
b. Need for additional Special Meetings to review and discuss CEAs?
Not necessary.
c. Norte Gravel Mine - Bob Beck
-- Beck discusses the Norte Gravel Mine to the Conservation Board. He explains that a letter was
written, giving three options /amendments to the landowner; to get a hydro geologist to look at
it saying there would be no problem, not going below the water table, or to install hydrologic
monitoring wells.
7. New business
a. Suggestions for changes to Jim Schugg Trail signage — Bard Prentiss
-- Prentiss discussed the Schugg Trail and shared pictures and a sign with the board
members. The Board discussed the ways technology could help with informing people, while
they were walking trails.
b. Review and discussions of proposed CEA informational materials — Bob Beck and Rick Ryan
- -Ryan presented his chart to the board.
- -Jane presented the brochure, "Critical Environmental Areas - Frequently Asked Questions',
she created, to the board. The board discussed any changes /suggestions they had for the
brochure.
- -Beck explains that he feels the new letter that was created can still be improved. The
