SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of
Cortlandville was held.at 5:00 p.m. at the Town Hall,
3577 Terrace Road, Cortland, New York with Deputy
Supervisor, Theodore Testa presiding.

Others present were: Town Attorney, John Folmer;
and Town Engineer, Hayne Smith.
RESOLUTION #45 AWARD BID FOR NYS ROUTE 222 AND
LYNCORT DRIVE WATER IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS TO LAFAYETTE PIPELINE IN
THE AMOUNT OF $236,159.00
Motion by Councilman O'Donnell
Seconded by Councilman Pilato
VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED
WHEREAS, bids were advertised for the NYS Route 222 and
Lyncort Drive, Water Improvement Projects, and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were opened on February 23, 1995 at
3:00 p.m. and provided to Town Engineer, Hayne Smith,
for review, and recommendation, as follows:

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the bid is hereby
awarded.to the low bidder, LaFayette Pipeline Inc., for
the NYS Route 222 and Lyncort Drive Water Improvement
Projects, in the amount of $236,159.00.
Engineer, Hayne Smith, requested time for a
discussion of procedures for bidding projects. Many
suppliers request the names of contractors that have
purchased bid specs. The Town Clerks office will not
provide them with this information.
The Town Clerk explained that any requests
regarding any project that is let out for bid is
referred to the department involved. The same procedure
has been used for all bidding's of the Town.
A discussion was held among those in attendance
regarding "Freedom of Information" requests.
The Town Clerk requested the Town Board to review
the process and direct any changes they wanted made.
No action was taken.
Councilman O'Donnell made a motion, seconded by
Councilman Rocco, to adjourn the Special Meeting. All
voting aye, the motion was carried.
The Special Meeting of the Town Board was adjourned
at 5:25 p.m.
