SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of
Cortlandville was held at the Town Hall, 3577 Terrace
Road, Cortland, New York, on December 12, 1994 at 5:00
p.m. with Supervisor Raymond Thorpe presiding.
Members present: Supervisor, Raymond Thorpe
Councilman, Theodore Testa
Councilman, Edwin O'Donnell
Councilman, Ronal Rocco
Councilman, John Pilato
Town Clerk, Pauline Parker
Others present were: Republican Committee Chairman,
Dorthea Fowler; Resident, Dick Crozier, and news -
reporter, Connie Nogas.
The Special Meeting was called to order by
Supervisor Raymond Thorpe at 5:00 p.m.
Supervisor Thorpe requested Mrs. Fowler to report
the committee recommendation to the Town Board.
Mrs. Fowler reported that David Plew of McGraw is
the committee's recommendation.
RESOLUTTION #196 APPOINT DAVID B. PLEW TO VACANCY AS
COUNTY LEGISLATOR FOR DISTRICT 12
Motion by Councilman O'Donnell
Seconded by Councilman Pilato
VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy in the membership of the
Cortland County Legislature by reason of the resignation
of Hon. Frank J. Barbieri; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Town Board of the Town of
Cortlandville is authorized to appoint a person to fill
said vacancy for the unexpired term of the said
Legislator;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of
the Town of Cortlandville hereby appoints David B. Plew,
27 South Street, McGraw, N.Y. to the unexpired term of
Legislator Frank J. Barbieri; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Town of Cortlandville is
hereby directed to forward a Certified Copy of this
Resolution to the Clerk of the Cortland County
Legislature, forthwith.
Councilman Rocco made a motion, seconded by
Councilman Testa, to adjourn the Special Meeting. All
voting aye, the motion was carried.
The meeting was adjourned �5:05 p.m.
