The PIYBDOT is preparing plans for replacement of the State Route 38 bridge over Owasco inlet in the Town. EMOLU77CN NO, DECLINE CREATING POSITTON OF PEACE OFFICER FOR THE TOWN; Moved by Har. SovoGoiol, seconded, by PIr, VanBenschoten Ayes - Sovaoaal, VanBenschoten, Cummings, Haynes, Robinson WHEREAS, the Town Board has been requested by a. delegation of the Groton Village Board to consider the employment., on a part - time basis, of a Peace Officer as Town Constable for additional police protection throughout the Town; and WMRDIAS, the Town Board after due consideration has determined that employment of a Peace Officer would increase the Town's liability exposure thereby exacerbating the liability insurance problem already existing for the 'Dawn; and WHEREAS, the Town Board has also determined that adequate police protection' is now being provided to the Town by the Tompkins County Sheriff's Tepaxtnent and the New York State - PoliLCe. NOW, THEREFORE, the Ppwn Board declines to cxea.te a position of Peace Officer for the Town, Highway Superintendent, Leland Cornelius, would like to purchase a new grader. Will self, old grader.
