A discussion occurred regarding a letter from the
Mayor of the Village of Homer, Mary Alice Bellardini.
The letter was in regards to a possible agreement and
contract between the Village of Homer and the Town of
Cortlandville that would allow the Village to use
Cortlandville water in the event of some unforseen and
serious water problem. The contract is also written so
that if Cortlandville needed water, the line could also
be used to provide Village water to the Town. The water
would be metered in either instances and the rates would
be basic.
It was stated the Town of Cortlandville has a
greater water pressure than that of the Village of
Homer. The Board members feel the contract could be a
one way advantage to benefit the Village of Homer and
not the Town.
The Board would like to take an opportunity to
review contracts they have with the City of Cortland.
The Board members could then approach the Village of
Homer with a solvable contract.
