NYS DEC AS LEAD AGENT FOR SUIT-KOTE
CORP. - AQUIFER PERMIT NO. 3 OF 1991
Motion by Councilman O'Donnell
Seconded by Councilman Testa
VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED
WHEREAS, per Resolution #120, adopted June 5, 1991, the
NYS DEC was named as Lead Agency for the Aquifer Permit
application of SuIt-Kote Corp, and
WHEREAS, the proposed site for building is located on
Rt. 11, S at the Polkville Stone site, and shall be used
for the production of road construction material
utili_?ng petroleum contaminated soils/aggregate, and
WHEREAS, notification has been received from NYS DEC
declaring a "Negative Declaration" for Envirosound
Recovery, Inc., therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Negative Declaration for
Evirosound Recovery Inc. from the New York State DEC for
Aquifer Permit No 3 of 1991 shall be accepted and shall
be received and filed.

Grant.

ROUTE 13 PYRAMID MALL WATER
PROJECT 1990

A discussion was held concerning the upcoming Fall
Amnesty Day set by the County at the Landfill. This is
scheduled for October 1 6 , 1 991 . The purpose of this is
to allow the Municipalities to dispose of trash and
roadside debris at the landfill at "no charge.''
Highway Sup't., Carl Bush, stated that his crew is
daily stockpiling debris, and will take this to the
landfill in the same manner that he did in the Spring.
This program was not meant to be used by residents.
RESOLUTION 4164 TOWN OF CORTLANDVILLE WILL NOT
PARTICIPATE IN THE 1991 LOCAL
GOVERNMENT RETIREMENT INCENTIVE
PROGRAM FROM THE STATE
Motion by Councilman Thorpe
Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell
VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED
WHEREAS, New York State and Local Retirement Systems
are offering an Retirement Incentive Program for
eligible employees throughout the state, and
WHEREAS, there are no employees of the Town of
Cortlandville, that are interested in taking advantage
of this program, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board of the Town of
Cortlandville does hereby elect not to participate in
the 1991 Local Government Retirement Incentive Program.
RESOLUTION #166 ACCEPT TERMINATION LETTER FROM
ABA:; CLEANING SERVICES OF
ITHACA. INC,
Motion by Councilman O'Donnell
Seconded by Councilman Thorpe
VOTES: ALL AYES ADOPTED
WHEREAS, the Town of Cortlandville recently entered into
a contract with ABC Cleaning Services of Ithaca, Inc, of
Ithaca, N.Y. for janitorial services at the Town Hall,
and
WHEREAS, a letter has been received from them advising
that they wish to terminate the contract, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby accepts the
termination letter from ABC Cleaning Services of Ithaca,
Inc. effective July 24, 1991.
RESOLUTION 4166 AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE THE FLOOR
DOCTOR FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES
Motion by Councilman O'Donnell
Seconded by Councilman
VOTES: ALL AYES ADOPTED
WHEREAS, the Town of Cortlandville has received a number
of quotes from cleaning services to do janitorial work
at the Cortlandville Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road,
Cortland, New York, and
WHEREAS, the Floor Doctor quote for janitorial service
was next in line and acceptable. therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, the Floor Doctor is hired for .janitorial
services at the Cortlandville Town Hall, 15 Terrace
Road, Cortland, New York, on a trial basis.

Councilman Thorpe reported to the Town Board of the
status of the "Sales Tax Issue." He has met with
Cortland County Treasurer, Carl Edlund and Cortland
County chairman, Richard Tupper, and they have
communicated with those at the State level.
I he State has agreed that an error Has Occurred,
and tf-iey are now reviewing the matter and corrections
1,,rill be made. They stated that when preemption occurs,
it takes about a year to work out the problems.
More meetings are expected to accomplish this.
Supervisor Pierce expressed his appreciation of
those that covered for him, and kept things going on his
behalf,

Councilman Testa, t.o adjourn the regular meeting. All
voting aye, the motion was carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 P.hJ.
