restoration and landscaping work, The rown,s public Works forces will do the
landscaping.
Coy Glen Road Water Main project: The Water Inain has been installed. and the ptunp
station has been set. The floor (for the purnp station) still needs to be pot, ired. The
flushing and testing of the pipes will be done after the punip station is complete, The
['oven's forces will be doing the plantings at this site.
Dan Walker said that aie'rown of utysses water line pr('.)ject is not done yet, J`he pump
station has been set and the pipes are in the ground. T'he hook LIP connections and
testing should be done around April Ist and testing and chloriniation of the lines should
be done around May 14.
They Conn-nittee discussed that this project will be both the 'Town of Ithaca and the
Town of Ulysses. Shoidd the J'own of Ithaca need to repair the, %vater lines or the water
tank in the West Hill area (including the hospital), this line will allow theTown to
bypass the brcak area so it can be fixed and the residents (and hospital) should continue
k,-) have water dUring the repair. And, of course, the'Fown of Ulysses will get, much
needed water to residents.

Bolton Point will be building as 750,000-gallon water tank oil I'litngerford I fill as part of
their distribution system. This will help maintain reserves if there were amy disruptions

rnain that feeds the South Hill area (of theTown) with water. We would. like to put in as
larger main. Currently, there is an 8” main, and we would like to iricrease to a 12"
mahl. Currently, this mairl carries 600 gallons per minute, and we would like to go ill)
to'1,000 to 1,200 gallons per IllinUtC. We Would have to get an easernent frorn Ithaca
College. "Flie currently estimate to complete this project would be $300,000.

a. Tutelo Park Construction. We have as design for the park. The work is
budgeted and divided over as two-year spari. This year, 2004, we are
considering contracting all the earth moving work OLlt, There are two
parts of the project that will be done by interested citizen groups
involving interactive walking trails and signage. A neighborhood
meeting will be field before we proceed.
b. William and 1-fannah Pew Section -.—East Ithaca Recreation Wily
Constrilctioli. "I"he issues about developing sorne of the land in that area
have been settled. We are preparing, to go ahead and start constructio 11
this year,
c. Woolf Lane Park ConStrUCHOII. In 2004, we will be working oil design
work for the Woolf Lane park, and construction is state(] to start in 2005,

have looked at our plans and are in agreement. The only thing we need to
do is meet with the people of Forest Home, and they don't want to do
anything until they get their traffic study back.
e. Evergreen Lane Reconstruction. Everything is ready to go on this project.
We will be having a meeting with the neighborhood to go over the plans
for this project before we proceed.
Rich Road Reconstruction. This project is a rehabilitation project for Rich
Road. It will give the road a new surface and upgrade the drainage on the
road.
g. Water Tank Painting/ Security Fencing. There is an on -going maintenance
line to keep our water tanks in good shape. The fencing around the tank
sites is installed for safety reasons to keep people from our water tanks.
Ridgecrest Road tank is scheduled to be fenced this year.
h. Northview Water Grid/Water System Telemetry. The Northview water
grid needs a new guard valve. This project along with the water system
telemetry is part of the West Hill water project. This will help maintain
the pressures we need to pump water to West Hill. The telemetry is
needed to tell the pumps when to work and to monitor the system.
i. Hanshaw Road Water Main. We discussed the design and timing of
replacing this section of water main in conjunction with Tompkins
County's planned rebuilding of Hanshaw Road in 2005 and 2006.
Trumansburg Road Water Tank. This tank has long needed maintenance
to remove rust and repaint the tank. We have not been able to take it off-
line until we could provide water to West, Hill alternatively. Now that the
tank at Eco-Village is complete we should be able to do this project this
year.
k. Northeast/South Hill Sewer Improvements. These are small projects to
deal with infiltration problems in our sewer lines.
