Present: Peter Stein, Bill Goodman, Dan Walker, Fred Noteboom, Rich
Schoch, and Mike Smith

The meeting began at 9:05 a.m.
The August 26, 2008, meeting minutes were approved.
Community Gardens
Tee Ann Hunter explained that there is an area on West Hill within parkland that
would possibly be a good place for a community garden. Peter Stein asked what
a community garden is. Tee Ann explained that people can rent lots and plant
flowers and vegetables in them. Tee Ann explained that there is a fire hydrant
near there and possibly it could be used for watering plants.
The group of people proposing this garden would like to see if there is funding
so a deer fence could be put up. The Committee talked about possibly putting a
picnic table or bench there.
The Committee felt this was a good idea. Marne Kirchgessner will look into
funding for the fencing.
Judd Falls Road Easement
When the State rebuilt Route 366,Judd Falls Road was realigned and a walkway
was established. At the time of the rebuild, the State and the Town agreed that
the Town would take ownership. The State would draw up all the easements,
etc. This will now be going to the Town Board at their October meeting.
After looking at the map, Bill Goodman questioned where the fourth parcel was.
The fourth parcel is for maintenance.

Troy Road Hunting Proposal from Cornell University
Rich Schoch explained that Cornell University has a pilot program to help
control deer population. They have property near Troy Road adjacent to where
the Town has a water tank. The Town has an easement from Cornell University
for access to the site.
Cornell is proposing a'permitted hunting area there. There would only be
three hunters at a time and the cars would have parking permits. This program
would only be for archery only during regular archery and shotgun season.
The Committee decided that nothing was required of the Town Board. The
Committee asked that we include this topic in the Public Works Department's
monthly Board report.
Sewer Guidelines
Peter indicated that he used the sewer guidelines for the E. King Road project
and the Grippi sewer problem. He felt the guideline worked well.
Dan Walker indicated that there is a petition to put sewer on East Shore Drive
and Coddington Road.
There were some small changes made to the form.
Town Hall Roof Update
Dan said that the metal is OK but the rubber part of the roof is leaking.
There is a product that is a rubber coating that would cost around $20,000 with a
10 year guarantee. This coating is applied and is only 1/8" thick.
Dan will continue to get more information regarding this.
Meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
