Pursuant to §§ 385 and 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York and § 10 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York, Chapter 250 (Vehicles and Traffic) of the Town of Ithaca Code, Article I (Vehicle Length Limits), § 250-2, titled "Signage of restricted locations," is amended by adding a new subsection C as follows: "C. No commercial vehicles, recreational vehicles, tractors, tractor -trailer combinations, tractor -semitrailer combinations, or tractor -trailer -semitrailer combinations that exceed a maximum length of 25' shall be permitted or allowed to travel upon or over the following roads, highways, or segments thereof - I Forest Home Drive, from its intersection with Warren Road and proceeding southeasterly across the one lane bridge to its intersection with Caldwell Road, being approximately 850 feet in total distance." Section 2. In the event that any portion of this law is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the validity of the remaining portions shall not be affected by such declaration of invalidity. Section 3. This local law shall take effect immediately upon its filing with the New York Secretary of State.
