2023 Ridgecrest Road Water Improvements
Project
A new water main will be constructed along Ridgecrest Road from 130 Ridgecrest
to 172 Ridgecrest Road. As part of this project, the existing water main running
from 130 Ridgecrest Road through 176 Ridgecrest Road will be put on a Booster
Pump Station to help improve water pressure in the area.
The Project will be starting at the end of the month with F.P. Kane Construction,
Inc. mobilizing and staging equipment.
Periodic lane closures may result in traffic delays, please plan accordingly. Access
to all properties along Ridgecrest Road will remain at all times.
Any plantings, lawn fixtures or decorations, and/or hardscaping or “invisible
fence” or similar components within the town’s right-of-way should be moved
before construction begins. The Town and/or contractor is not responsible for
maintaining, protecting, or restoring any underground facilities or components or
any landscape features encountered or disturbed during construction within the
right-of-way.
Customers along Ridgecrest currently have a pressure range of 20-57 P.S.I. +/-
and this be increased to 40-77 P.S.I. +/-. Customers should make sure they have
the proper pressure reducing valve (PRV) in place and that it is in working order
(as required by code). If you are not familiar with this valve, please contact Bolton
Point, the Town of Ithaca, and/or your local plumber. You may experience short
periods of low pressure and minor water interruptions during construction; you
will be notified by Bolton Point 24 hours prior to interruption whenever possible.
