TO: CONSERVATION BOARD MEMBERS
FROM: MICHAEL SMITH, SENIOR PLANNER
DATE: JANUARY 30, 2020
SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – FEBRUARY 6, 2020
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
February 6th at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of
this memo). The draft minutes from the December 5, 2019 meeting were not available
to include in the packet. The draft minutes from the January 2, 2020 meeting are
attached.
At this meeting we will spend some time reviewing the draft “Climate Action Checklist
for the Greater Ithaca Area” document that Hannah prepared. This checklist was
inspired by REI Co-op’s Opt to Act Plan, 52 simple weekly challenges to reduce your
impact, get active, and leave the world better than you found it (https://www.rei.com/opt-
outside or https://www.rei.com/blog/stewardship/the-opt-to-act-plan). This document
was emailed to everyone by Hannah on January 26th and a paper copy is attached.
Elizabeth has signed up to take minutes at the February meeting.
If you have any questions prior to the meeting or are not able to attend, please contact
