We are in communication with our municipal partners and are following the lead of Tompkins County government. State of emergencies have been declared at the national, state and county levels. The situation changes daily (if not hourly). Ithaca Town Hall and our Public Works Facility remain open although you will now find notices on our doors cautioning anyone with symptoms not to enter as we seek to help contain the spread of the virus. While we intend to stay open, please do expect changes to how we do business. We will also be fully exploring conducting board and committee meetings virtually and determining how we will provide opportunities for public input. Please watch our website for information about our public meetings. The emerging community response to this crisis is unprecedented. The responses range from the County creating an emergency operations center, to the Chamber of Commerce working on ideas to support local businesses and their employees, to the Community Foundation of Tompkins County launching a COVID-19 Response Fund, to community members offering to volunteer in numerous ways. The Town of Ithaca will continue to do its part to protect the public and support those being impacted by all the decisions that are being made. Sincerely, Rod Howe, Town Supervisor on behalf of all the Town Board members and employees TOWN OF ITHACA 215 N Tioga St, Ithaca, NY 14850 Ph: 607-273-1721 ■ www.town.ithaca.ny.us Rod Howe, Town Supervisor - Paulette Rosa, Town Clerk
