TOWN HALL/PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY – To do our part in this crisis and limit person-
to-person interaction and the inherent risks, Town Hall and the Public Works Facility will be closed to the public effective midnight March 17th until further notice.
We are asking all residents and contractors to do whatever is possible via email, phone and USPS mail as we strive to continue to serve our residents to the best of our ability in these
circumstances.

All Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings will be held through
Zoom videoconferencing. Please check our website for log-in information which will be posted when each agenda is set.

•Water bills should be mailed; the due date has been extended to April 30th without
penalty to allow extra time for people to get stamps etc. You can also pay online with a
credit card or e-check, but there is a fee. Most banks have some version of Bill Paywhich will make a payment for you without having to mail anything.
•Dog licenses – Expiration dates have been extended 60 days. New licenses can be
processed by submitting the application found at Departments/Town Clerk on ourwebsite http://www.town.ithaca.ny.us/t
•Handicap Permits – Whenever possible, please submit the application/prescription via
email or USPS mail to Town Clerk 215 N. Tioga St. and I will process and return. Pleasesend your driver’s license number on the documentation.
•Marriage licenses – Please call or email me to schedule an appointment.
•Marriage Certificates/Transcripts – Please email me the full names of both parties andproof of identity of at least one party to the marriage along with contact information orcall and I will walk you through the process and options.

As we face these uncertain times with COVID-19 virus, the Town Codes Department is taking precautions to ensure the safety of residents, contractors, and code department staff. At this point in time well will be suspending all Rental registry operating permit inspections and fire inspections to minimize person to person contact. We highly encourage individuals to send any
plans, building permit applications, variance applications, or operating permit applications to our
office in a digital format. If you are seeking to submit applications or plans in a digital format, you can send them to codes@town.ithaca.ny.us. In the coming day(s), we anticipate more changes in how the Town Code Department conducts business daily. We will be sending out additional information, as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience pertaining to these
items.

Please submit applications for Planning Board actions via email and payment can follow via mail or Bill Pay. The required extra hard copies can be mailed in.
Public Works

Anything that can be done electronically is appreciated. Brush pick-up will be as scheduled beginning April 13th. Drop off of brush and access to mulch and compost is not available as public access is closed. We are looking at the possibility of setting up remote sites for residents
to pick-up mulch and compost. More information will be on our website and sent out in future
updates.

External Plumbing Permits and SWPPP applications should be submitted electronically or by USPS. Associated fee(s) can follow via mail or a Bill Pay platform. Forms can be found here: http://www.town.ithaca.ny.us/documents/forms
TOWN COURT CLOSED – New York State Unified Court System has CLOSED and SUSPENDED ALL Town Court activities. If you had a scheduled appearance, it will be rescheduled at least 45 days out; If you have a ticket; it will be scheduled at least 45 days out;
NO MONEY/CHECKS will be collected or processed. YOU WILL NOT BE PENALIZED at
any time during this period. You will receive notice from the Court when your rescheduled appearance/court date is.
