Town Board Minutes
The following resolution was offered by Councilman Ideman:
HSOIXED that pursuant to Section 271 of the Town Law the fallowing
citizens and resident taxpayers of the Town be and -they hereby are
appointed a Planning Board with all the powers granted by said Town La�r CD
-to hold office for the term stated, to grit: — Elmer Durst for a term -of.:_
one ,yeas, expiring July 31, 1956: Arthur Whiting for .a term of two years`=
expiring July 31, 1957: Richard Gram for a term of three years, .expiring: :--.:
July 31, 1958: E.B. i'+atson fpr a.term of five years,. -expiring July 31,- 19601o.
Frank Ligouri for a term of four years, expiring July 31, 1959, and be
i further resolved
That E. B. ;Watson is hereby designated -to act as Chairman of said Y
Planning Board fpr the first year, the matter of the selection of a
Chairman thereafter be left for the members of the Board to select.

The following resolution was offered by Councilman Roe:
Tti`SOLVED that the Planning Board shall be and it hereby is authorized
and empowered -to approve Plats showing new streets, or highways within
that portion of the Town outside the limits of the incorporated village
of Cayuga Heights, and to exercise all other powers, delegated to it by
4-he provisions of Article ZX of the Zoning, Building and }Planning Ordin-
( lIoe of the Town of. Ithaca enacted October 7, 1954, or which may be_ c�ele --
-gated to it by resolution of the Town Board, pursuant to the.pro-Visions
Of Article 16 of the Town Law or act's amendatory thereof.,. --v i th.refe`ence
to 'Zoning and Planning'; and b��; it further resolved

the Planninrr Board has been authorized to approve plats shoing new
streets or highways in accordance with the provisions of Section 276
of the Town Law.

The folloti•rr ng resolution was offered by Justice Hartsock:
R1sSOLVED that the Planning Board be and it hereby is empowered at
the -tiro.e of the approval of a plat either to confirm the Zoning regula-
tions of the land so plated as shown on the official zoning maps of
the Town, or to make any reauonable change therein, upon follwoing
the procedure required by Section 281 of the Town Law
