A LOCAL LAW REPEALING LOCAL LAW NUMBER 1 OF THE YEAR 1965 RELATING
TO PUBLIC NOTICES OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAWS
Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows:
Section 1. Local Law Number 1 of the year 1965 adopted by the Town Board on May 10,
1965 regulating the manner of adoption of local laws and providing for public notices of same is
hereby repealed, as the manner of adoption and requirements as to publicizing local laws are
governed by New York State Municipal Home Rule Law and other general state laws.
Section 2. If any provision of this law is found invalid by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect any other provisions of this local law which shall
remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. This local law shall take effect upon its filing with the Secretary of State of the
State of New York.
