LOCAL LAW NO. 24 OF THE YEAR 2009
A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 210, TITLED "SEWER RENTS", OF
THE TOWN OF ITHACA CODE TO PROVIDE FOR THE SETTING OF
SEWER RENTS AND CHARGES BY TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION
Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 210 (Sewer Rents) of the Town of Ithaca Code, Section 210-
4, titled "Sewer rents," subsection A, titled "Imposition," is amended by deleting the
letter "A" and the title "Imposition", and by adding the following to the end of this
section:
"Pursuant to the aforementioned laws, the Town Board shall set from time to time
by resolution such sewer rents and charges. Such resolutions shall be adopted
after a public hearing upon five days' public notice."
Section 2. Chapter 210 (Sewer Rents) of the Town of Ithaca Code, Section 210-
4, titled "Sewer rents," is amended by deleting subsection B, titled "Computation," in its
entirety.
Section 3. In the event that any portion of this law is declared invalid by a court
of competent jurisdiction, the validity of the remaining portions shall not be affected by
such declaration of invalidity.
Section 4. This local law shall take effect on January 1, 2010.
