A local law providing for the amendment of local. law
No. 2, 1976, entit'led "A. local law providing for the ins.i-
tution, administrat.ion, requ'.Lation, and collection of water
rates and other charges relating, to water service"
Be it enacted by the town board of -the town of Ithaca
as follows:
Section 1. Section 3 of Local Law No. 2, 1976, is
amende-T 15y �iTljing thereto the following provision:
The Town Board may, from time to time, either by adopt-
ing a local. law or ordinance, or by adopting a resolution,
after a public hearing duly called for that purpose, ainend,
modify or add to such water rates, rents or charqes (herein
also "revenues") or adopt such other regulatory measures
which may be required to administer the collection of such
revenues. If adopted by resolution, the Town Clerk shall
(a) file a certified copy of any such resolution in the
book of Local Laws maintained by the Town Clerk, and (b)
shall refer briefly to the substance of this law and the
date of its adoption on Local Law No. 2, 1976, as filed in
said book.
Section 2. The surcharge previously established, as
set fortH—in—gection 3, of the Water Rate Schedule (Schedule
"A" of Local Law No. 2, 1976) is hereby increased to 12%,
of which 10% is for the repair and maintenance of the water
lines and 2% is for the repair and maintenance of the sewer
lines.
Section 3. This local, law shall take effect inunediately.
Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca on September
