Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows: Section 1. Local Law No. 2 for the year 1976, adopted August 23, 1976, and subsequently amended, is further amended by deleting (except as set forth below) the water rate schedule previously adopted and inserting the water rate schedule set forth in this local law. Section 2. This local law and new water rate schedule with surcharges shall become effective January 1, 1992. (If additional space is needed, attach pages the same size as this sheet, and number each.) dOS-239 (Rev. 7190) 2 WATER RATE SCHEDULE Effective January 1, 1992 METERED WATER CONSUMPTION (GALLONS) RATE PER 1,000 GALLONS 0 - 10,000 $2.25 10,001 - 150,000 $2.05 150,001 - UP $1.70 The foregoing rates are for water consumed during each quarter. Notwithstanding the foregoing rates the following charges shall be applicable to the meter size indicated below each quarter. The water charge will then be multiplied by the number of units on the master meter and this will be the billing rendered. If the calculation of the water consumed per dwelling unit is less than the allowable consumption for a three-quarter inch meter, then the billing will be calculated by multiplying the number of units on the master meter times the minimum charge for a three-quarter inch meter (e.g., if there were 20 dwelling units on the master meter, and total water consumption shown by the master meter was 100,000 gallons, the billing would be $450.00 (20 units times $22.50) rather than $225.00 (100,000 gallons divided by 20 units divided by $1,000.00 times $2.25) ). Section 3. The provisions relating to water application fees, service taps, meters, inspections, and surcharges contained in Local Law No. 2, 1976, as amended, remain in full force and effect and are not deleted by this local law. Section 4. This local law shall become effective as of January 1, 1992. (Complete the certification in the paragraph that applies to the filing of this local law and strike out that which is not applicable.) 1. (Final adoption by local legislative body only.)
