LOCAL LAW NO. 7 OF THE YEAR 1992
A LOCAL LAW ALTERING THE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
FOR DEPUTY TOWN CLERKS
Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows:
Section 1. A Deputy Town Clerk need not be a resident of the Town of Ithaca
but shall be a resident of Tompkins County or an adjoining County.
Section 2. This local law is intended to supersede any inconsistent provisions
of Section 3 of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York or of Section 23 of the
Town Law.
Section 3. In the event any portion of this local law is declared invalid by final
judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction such invalidity shall not affect any
other provisions of this local law which shall remain in full force and effect..
Section 4. This law shall take effect immediately.
