PLANNING BOARD MT. NUTES
OCTOBER 6 . 1966
A Special Meeting of the Town of Ithaca Planning Board was held at the
Town Offices , 106 East Green Street , City of Ithaca , at 7 : 45 P . M , on
Thursday , October 6 , 1966 ,
Members of the Board present were: Chairman Noel Desch , Mr , Walter Schwan ,
Mro Walter Wiggins , Mro James Lacy , Mr , Richard Perry , Mro Elmer Phi21. lipsD
Mro John Vasse , Mro Frank Liguori , and Secretary Cheryl So Beninati ,
Also present were : Angelo Petito , Anthony Ceracche , and Seville Reulein .
PETITO~ REULEIN - TRUMANSBURG ROAD MULTIPLE RESIDENCE L 5067 ACRES
The Town Board held its Public Nearing on this matter on Monday , Oot ober 39
1966 , and Mro Desch reported that the Town Board members voted down the
Planning Board ' s recommendation that this area be reczoned to Multiple
Residence,, This special meeting of the Planning Board was called at the
request of Mr . Petito , Mr . Reulein , and Mro Ceracche to clarify bog.,s wag
ters and raquest the Planning Board to reGsubmit the proposal to the Tcun
Board at its next meetings on October 10 , 1966 ,
Mro Wiggins , acting as attorney and not as a member of the Planning Boari , ,
pointed our various problems in the proposed developmant , such as how ✓
the proposed road would connect with Hillcrest Road , which is not a To-,�3n
Road , the locations of the rights of way for water and sewer , the radlUrs
of the road entrances etco , and stated that these problems could be solved
at such time as the plan were given final approval by the Planning Board ,
Mro Wiggins also pointed out that the right of way for the proposed road
would be 60 feet rather than 50 feet , and that the road would terminate
in such a way so as to provide ample room for snow plows ,
Mro Wiggins and Mro Vasse , together with Mro Petito , Mro Reulein and
Mro Ceracche , absented themselves from the room at this point ,
Mro Liguori made a motion that the Planning - Board accept this plan with
six buildings , rather than seven , and with a 50mfoot distance from the
buildings and any side lines There being no second to the motion , it was
removed from the table .
Mro Schwan made the following motion : On October 3 , 1966 , the Town Board
of Ithaca acted upon the recommendation of the Planning Board to rezone
property of Seville Reulein to Multiple Residence , At a Special Meeting
of the Fall Planning Board , October 6 , 1966 , and with Walter Wiggins and
John Vasse absenting themselves , the Board voted the following resolution .
WHEREAS the proposal by Angelo Petito and Anthony Ceracche :
a ) meets , in general , the need of the Town for more multiple
residence units .
b ) presents individual buildings of a height harmonious zo thv-

of buildings ,, and landscapes in general , the proposal IS

THEREFORE , the Planning Board requests that the Town Board rem
consider their action and re = zone the area .for multiple residences ,,
The notion was seconded and carried by the following vote
Chairman Desch voting aye
Walter Schwan voting aye
James , Lacy voting aye
Ra chard Perry voting aye
Elmer Phillips voting aye
Frank. Liguori voting nay
Upon, motion by Mr ,, Perry , seconded by tors, Lacy , and carried by unanimous
vote , the minutes of the July and August meetings were approved ..
This meeting was adjourned at 9 : 45 Po M4 ,
