TO14 OF ITHACA FLAN Ii-Ar BOARD MINUTES _ AUGUST 23 , 1962 Members . present weref Chairman Marion , Vasse , Liguori , Also present were . Zoning Officer Robert :°°ells © Supervisor Ben Boynton , John Dougherty , and 'Thomas Parkero There being no quorum , no formal meeting was held . Informal discussion took place . Franklin Subdivision Mr . Thomas Parker has applied for a building permit to build a house in the Franklin Subdivision . This sub -division is being reviewed by the Planning Board and must be given final approval prior to the issuance of any . further building: permits . Mr . Dougherty presented a rough drawing of the new layout of this subdivision which will be ready for preliminary approval at the next meeting , The -lot on which Mr . Parker wants to start building is of the -required size , has frontage on an approved road , and is part of tht new plan which is bein worked out be Mr . Dougherty . A resolution was made by Uigruori that , -±n view of the fact that progress is being made or_ the re - submission of plans for the Franklin Sub -division and in view of the fact that Lot 37 of the sub division dated December 28 , 2 conforms to the zoning requirements and fits into the scheme of the new plan under preparation , the Zoning Officer be authorized to issue a building permit for said lot . Seconded by Vasse , but no vote taken this meeting . t Trailer Ordinance Discussion of the proposed adoption of .the Mobile Home Housing Code and a trailer ordinance took place . A letter from Mr ,, Wiggins was read expressing his views on the matter . Chairman Marion requested of Supervisor Boynton that the Town Board delay action on the Housing Code until further s udy can be made . Wonderland Motel e Change of Site Plan Mr . Wells presented an application for a building permit made by the Wonderland Motel , Mr . Rosten , owner , wishes to enclose a porch for use as a cocktail lounge , to enclose the rear entrance to the storage area for additional storage space , and to eliminate the large flashing sign , replacing it with two six foot by eight foot signs , one at each corner of the lot . The Board requests that a site pla with the proposed changes be sub- mitted before they take action . Re - zoninga.t _ 8had Corners v Mrm Liguori , reporting for the Zoning ' Committee , stated that they have no objections to the re - zoning of the area at Shady Corners . Page 2 Planning Board Minul.. es August 23 , 1962 ( cont ,, ) • National Cash Register Companys Site Plan The following motion was made by Mr . iguo -r-is Resolved that the site plan submitted by the National Cash Register Company for its proposed office sales building ( plan submitted August 13 , 1962 ) , located in an existing Light Industrial zone on the Danby Road , be granted final approval in accordance with the provisions of Article IX of the Town of Ithaca Zoning Ordinance with the following conditions : a ) All parking shall be located in back of the front yard set -baek0 b ) A strip at least ten feet wide shall be planted or suitably fenced so as to screen the site from the adjacent residential property to the north ,, Seconded by 6asse , but no vote taken this meeting0 Meeting adjourned at 9 : 05 PoMe NEXT T-MEETING WILL BE AT 7 : 30 P .
