PLANNING BOARD OF THE TOWN OF ITHAC6
NOVEMBER 15, 1955

CHAIRMAN WATSON led a general discussion of the proposed Subdivision
Regulations. The only change in the Regulations as
proposed is as follows: "Section 2 - By resolution
adopted by the Town Board on Nov. 3, 1955, the Planning
Board of the Town of Ithaca hereby is empowered at the
time of the approval of a plot either to confirm the
Zoning Regulations of the land so plotted as shown on
the official zoning map of the Town or to make any
reasonable change therein following the procedure
required by Section 281 of the Town Law:"
The section formerly called Section 2 now becomes
Section 3, etc.
CHAIRMAN WATSON read the resolutions adopted by the Town Board creati*g
and empowering the Planning Board to approve subdivision
plots.
CHAIRMAN WATSON asked Frank Liguori to act as Secretary of the Board.
MOTION made by Gram and seconded by Liguori to submit the
proposed Subdivision Regulations to a public hearing
tentatively set for Dec. 20, 1955 at 8:00 p.m. at the
Court House. Motion passed by 3 to 0.
Hearing will be publicized in accordance with standard
legal procedures. Copies of the proposed regulations
will be made available at the Court House and Town Clerk's
office. Copies will also be sent to Harry Baker, Realty
Board, Bar Association, Town Attorney, Town Board, local
professional engineers and land surveyors and other
interested parties.
MR. GRAN suggested that a member of the Board attend the regular
meetings of the Ithaca City Planning Board and that a
member of that Board be invited to attend our meetings.
CHAIRMAN WATSON asked Mr. Gram to represent this Board as an observer
at the City Board meetings. The Chairman will transmit
a similar invitation to the City Planning Board. It
was also suggested that we invite members of the Lansing
Town Board to attend one of our meetings in the near
future to discuss problems of mutual interest.
CHAIRMAN WATSON will arrange for a map board to be installed at the Town
Bay ^ns for posting ofrreference maps (Zoning map, USGS
topo map, etc.) for ready reference by the Board.
