NORTHEAST SEWER DISTRICT - CONTRACT WITH THE VILLAGE
A letter from Mr. Roger Sovocool, Attorney for the Village
of Cayuga Heights Indicated that agreement has been reached In
the matter of a contract between the town and village for sewage
disposal except for the consideration of the policy of hook-on.
There were questions raised as to an ordinance to control hook-
on, and also the saving of space on the line for later hook-on.
Supervisor Kerr feels that the new sewer ordinance now
being considered would be the fairest method. The requirements
as set forth in that ordinance would probably require that all
new construction hook on Immediately, any residence with a
septic system breakdown would be required to hook on, and all
residences would be connected by 10 years. It was the sense of
the board that It v/ould not be right to charge for reserving
space on the line for later possible use. The Supervisor was
authorized by the Board to confer with Mr. Sovocool In regards
to these matters.
