Schoch Parks and Open Space Planner /Manager January 8 , 1987 Numerous end - of - year odds and ends included the following : - Field checked section of Dewitt Exercise Trail encroaching on neighboring property for purpose of redesigning and relocating such section back onto School District lands . Project to be ' given high priority upon ' commencement of 1987 construction season . Also , formal agreement between School District and Town for future trail maintenance to be worked out . - Designed and coordinated construction of road barrier berm and plantings for old Burns Road intersection with Slaterville Road . -Arranged for Highway Department assistance in stockpiling silt topsoil from Burns Road for use of Parks Department in miscellaneous landscaping projects . - Field checked Hospital Access Road proposal with Town Planner for purpose of proposing . landscape improvements and a memorial planting for former Town Building Inspector . - Installed bollard chain and reflectors at Warren . Road entrance to Northeast Ithaca Bikeway after numerous complaints of unauthorized vehicles driving down the path . Arranged for installation of NYSEG padlock and separate . padlock for School District snowplow access . Notified both parties re the need to keep path closed to vehicular traffic . - Repaired Beebe Lake walkway at Forest Home Drive wash - out section after receiving complaint of unsafe condition existing . - Designed new Park signs to be constructed over winter in Parks workshop for installation this Spring . - Year - end purchases . - Field checks with Town Planner on South Hill relative to development proposals and environmental concerns at Troy and King Roads vicinity . - Participated in field check with representatives of Six Mile Creek Overseer Committee and Gary Lamotte of Soil Conservation Service to observe site where new City water transmission line impacted lands adjacent to City ' s reservoir . Recommendations for bank stabilization and revegetation discussed . G i
