Northwest Proposed Water and Sewer Districts
• The Town Board authorized the Town Planning Board to proceed
with a study of the proposed Northwest Water and Sewer District
extensions ®
Need for New Town Highway Truck
Mr . Morey , Superintendent of Highways approached the Board -
with the need of buying a new truck for the highway department -
price range between $ 1 , 000 . to $ 24 , 000 , one which could be
utilized for both summer and winter use . The Board gave
their permission for Mr . Morey to prepare . specifications
and advertise for bids with the understanding that any or
all . bids could be rejected .
Notice to Builders on Reulin property- Trumansburg Road
Upon action brought against the Town Board by Donald G . Fisher
regarding establishment of Multiple Dwelling District on the � -
former Seville Reulin property , Supervisor Kerr on January 30 , .
1967 wrote a letter to Ceracche and Petito , builders on said
property informing them of such action being taken and further
informing them that they were proceeding at their own risk
and would assume - all responsibility of consequences resulting
from court action .

held in the Town Office at 108 East Green Street , City of Ithaca
at 4 : 00 P . M . on Monday , March 13 , 1967 .

PUBLIC HEARING- -4 : 00 P . M . Slaterville Area Sewer District ( to

A Public Hearing was called to order by Supervisor William B .
Kerr at 4 : 00 P . M . to hear all persons in favor of or opposed to
including Sugarbush Lane in the Slaterville Area Sewer District .
Since there was no one present to voice an opinion pro or con
the following resolution was duly passed :

RESOLUTION 40 - MODIFICATIONS OF PLANS FOR
SaTERVILLE ROAD AREA MM
DTSTRICT- Sugarbush Lane
Upon application having been made for the modification of the
Slaterville Road Area Sewer District in order to. provide for the
construction of a sewer main northeasterly from Snyder Hill Road
over the Town road known as Sugarbush Lane in the Ben B . Boynton
subdivision which is . included , in said sewer district , up to a
point in the turn- around in said road , as determined by the project
engineer and shown on the maps and plans , and a notice of public
hearing having been published in The Ithaca Journal pursuant to
Section 196 of the Town Law , at 4 : 00 P . M . on March 13 , 1967 , and
proof of publication having been furnished , and said public hearing
having been held , and no one appearing in opposition - thereto , •
it is duly resolved that the plans for the said sewer district be
modified as aforesaid ,
Hearing adjourned at 4 : 05 P . M .
RESOLUTION 41 - APPOINTMENT=Robert Scannell
Voted resolved that Robert Scannell of 1407 Hanshaw Road be appointed
to fill vacancy on Planning Board left by the resignation of Richard
Perry .
Report from Department of Audit and Control
A report of examination of the accounts and fiscal affairs of the
Town of Ithaca for the period beginning January 1 , 1963 and ending
December 31 , 1965 has been completed by state examiners from the
Department of Audit and Control and was presented at this meeting
and it will be on file in the Town Clerk ' s Office for public
inspection .
RESOLUTION 42 - APPROVAL OF WARRANT
Voted resolved to approve warrant dated March.., 13 , 1967 in the
following amounts :
General Fund -.- - - - $ 28 , 115 . 53
Highway Fund - - - - - - - 4 , 362 . 33 '
Northeast Sewer District - - - 146 . 00
Ellis "Hollow Road - Sewer District - 2 , 760 . 00
RESOLUTION 43 - APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Voted resolved to approve minutes dated December 30 , 19660
Warren Road -Speed Limit •
In re'cent ' corresp4, ndence from the State Traffic Commission , they
have refused to lower the speed limit below 40 miles per hour on
Warren Road in the Northeast part of the : Town .

In closing the Public Hearings the following resolution was duly
passedj
The Town Board has this day adopted a resolution pursuant to
Sec. 209-e of the Toim Law approving the establishment of the
following water and sewer extensions: Ext. #1 to Second South
Hill Water District; Ext. #2 to South Hill Sewer District; Ext.
#2 to Second South Hill Water District and Ext. #2 to South
Hille Sewer District.
RESOLUTION 48 - BOND AHTICpATION NOTES -
Slaterville Road Area iSewer
Dlstricf
Voted resolved that Supervisor Kerr is hereby authorized to
sell bond anticipation notes in anticipation of the issuance
and sale of serial bonds for the Slaterville Road Area Sewer
District.

The following are minutes of a regular meeting of the Town
Board held in the Town Office at 108 East Green Street, City
of Ithaca at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, April 10, I967.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Supervisor William B. Kerr; Councilmen
Harry Baker, Joseph N. Mayer, Jr.
ABSENT: Councilmen Harry Gordon; Andrew McElwee
Also Present: James Dunlap, Engineer from Lozier Engineers;
Attorney James V. Buyoucos; Planning Board Chairman Noel Desch;
Superintendent of Highways Marion Morey, Journal Reporter Jerry
Langdon; 2 residents from Vine Street and Mr. McNeil representing
Eastern Heights and Clerk Myrtle Hewitt.
Service Calculator
It was brought to the Board's attention that the calculator in
the Assessor's Office needed servicing. The Board authorized
the assessor to have the machine serviced and also to check on
a Service Contract and report at the next meeting.
Northeast Playground-Park Mowing
Walter Schwan from Muriel Street approached the Board regarding
the mowing of the playground-park area off Tareyton Drive in
the Northeast. It was agreed that the highway department would
try using their machines for cutting the grass although the
machines are rather large for this type of mowing.
