ROLL CALL Jeannine Kirby Supervisor Present Herbert Beckwith Councilman Present Paul Butler Councilman Present Jeffrey Cleveland Councilman Present Larry Tvaroha Councilman Present Bonita Boles Town Clerk Absent Richard Thaler Town Attorney Present Visitors: Andy LaVigne and Sharon Bowman The Supervisor called the meeting to order and took the Roll Call . RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Beckwith and seconded by Mr. Tvaroha: RESOLVED, that this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve the preliminary budget for the Special Districts of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on the first day of January, 1994, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that such preliminary budget shall be filed in the Office of the Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspection by any interested persons at all reasonable hours, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board shall meet at 7 :00 p.m. on the 3rd day of November, 1993 for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing in the manner provided in Section 113 of the Town Law, and that such notice be published and posted in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SPECIAL DISTRICTS PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing has prepared the Assessment Rolls of parcels of land included in Lansing Water Dist. No. 2, No. 3, No. 8, No. 9, No. 10 , No. 13, No. 14 and No. 15 and Lansing Sewer District No. 2 and Lansing Light Districts No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 and has apportioned and assessed upon such parcels of land in proportion in the amount of benefits the improvements shall confer upon the same the cost chargeable to said District in connection with the construction of public water, sewer and lighting systems therein which are payable in the year 1994 and therefore, pursuant to Section 239 of the Town Law, the Town Board shall hold a Public Hearing at the Lansing Town Hall , Lansing, New York on the 3rd day of November, 1993 at 7 :00 p.m. in the evening thereof, to hear and consider any objections which may be made to said roll . (Aye) Jeannine Kirby, Supervisor RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Butler and seconded by Mr. Cleveland: RESOLVED, that this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve as the preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1994, the itemized statement of estimated revenues and expenditures, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that such preliminary budget shall be filed in the Office of the Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspection by any interested persons at all reasonable hours, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board shall meet at 7 :15 p.m. on the 3rd day of November, 1994, for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing in the manner provided in Section 113 of the Town Law, and that such notice be published in substantially the following form: continued September 29 , 1993 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF LANSING FOR THE YEAR 1994 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN , that the preliminary budget of the Town of Lansing . Tompkins County , New York for the fiscal year beginning January 1 , 1994 , has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk of said Town, where it is available for inspection by any interested persons at all reasonable hours and, FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a Public Hearing thereon at the Lansing Town Hall , Lansing, New York at 7 : 15 p .m. on the 3rd day of November , 1993 , and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled for or against any items therein contained and FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, that the following are proposed yearly salaries of town officials if this town: Supervisor $ 17 , 211 . 00 Councilman ( 4) Total $ 19 , 935 . 00 Each $ 4, 983.75 Town Clerk $ 21 ,054.00 Tax Collector $ 7 ,018 .00 Highway Superintendent $ 35 ,599.00 Town Justice (2) Total $ 16,300 .00 Each $ 8,150 .00 Vote of Town Board . . . (Aye) Jeannine Kirby, Supervisor A discussion was held in regard to whether or not the County Youth Group should be allowed to continue to use the Lansing Senior Citizen's Bus . It was the consensus of the Board to get an opinion from Mr. Briggs , the Town's insurance agent . Ludlowville Road from the top of the hill to Ludlowville was discussed. This will be discussed again at the Regular Meeting to be held on October 20 , 1993. It was felt the Mr. Larson's opinion was needed in this matter. A clarification of the boundary lines was made for the lot in Myers which is owned by the Town of Lansing. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Beckwith and seconded by Mr. Butler: RESOLVED, that the Special meeting be adjourned to go into Executive Session at 7 : 45 p.m. Carried. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Butler and seconded by Mr. Beckwith: RESOLVED, that the Executive Session be terminated and the Special Meeting be reconvened. Carried. On motion, meeting adjourned at the call of the Supervisor. Minutes taken by the Supervisor and executed by the Town Clerk.
