At a special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Lansing
held on Saturday, August 08 , 1992 , at 9: 30 A.M. the following
being present : Jeannine Kirby, Supervisor, Paul Butler,
Councilman, Jeffrey Cleveland, Councilman, Larry Tvaroha,
Councilman, Herbert Beckwith, Councilman, the following:
RESOLUTION, was duly made by Herbert Beckwith, seconded by
Jeffrey Cleveland and a vote being taken by roll call resulted in
the following :
• Jeannine Kirby - voting aye; Larry Tvaroha - voting aye;
Paul Butler - voting aye; Herbert Beckwith - voting aye; Jeffrey
Cleveland - voting aye;
WHEREAS, the Town of Lansing has a postage meter and related
postal permit which allows the Town to make bulk mailings at a
reduced postal rate; and
WHEREAS, The Lansing Fire Commissioners have prepared a
mailing explaining changes in the ambulance service to be provided
to Town residents , this mailing provides important information for
the health and safety of the residents of the Town of Lansing; and
WHEREAS, the Postmaster who is responsible for the Town of
Lansing area has no objection to the Lansing Fire Commissioners
using the Town of Lansing postage meter to make this bulk mailing;
it is
RESOLVED that the Town of Lansing shall rent to the Lansing
Fire Commissioners the use of the Town postage meter for purposes
of making a bulk mailing to Town residents concerning ambulance
service for $1 . 00 and other good and valuable consideration; and it
is
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lansing Fire Commissioners shall
reimburse the Town of Lansing for the actual cost of postage used
in this mailing.
Meeting adjourned at the call of the Supervisor.
