Harry Missirian -nd Stuart Stein gave a , resentation to the Board regarding the p .posed reapportionment . No action was taken at this time. Linda Hirvonen dis ssed the process th-' the Lansing Planning Board is making. Bruno Schickal discussed Mr . Gifts water situation on Hillcrest Road in the Tow of Lansing . Philip Munson' s slud. - contract w.s discussed and will be reviewed. At a regular meeting o the Town. Board, held in and for the Town of Lansing at the Town Ha 1 on February 12 , 1992 , a discussion was had concerning the retire -nt o Barbara Barry as Chairman of the Lansing Youth Services Comm . si. . The Town Board felt that it was appropriate to acknowledg= e dedicated service of this Lansing citizen and the followin, resolution was duly made by Mr . Cleveland and seconded by Mr. Tv oha and unanimously passed. 1110 BE IT RESOLVED, that the 'own :oard recognizes the dedicated public service of Barbara B- ry w' o served as Chairman of the Lansing Youth Services Commi -sion ft-km July 1988 to January 1992 . In recognizing the efforts ' f this citizen, the Town Board calls the attention to all resi. -nts of th- Town of Lansing that the democratic working of Town •overnment de.ends upon the time, effort and dedication of its • tizens willi e to act in a non-paid position. Democracy is --nly as good as t 'e people who live within a community and it is 1 ' e the old adage " ou only get what you put in" . As a result of e dedicated service of Barbara Barry , the Town of Lansing can -el proud of the accomp ' shments of the Youth Services Commission under Barbara' s Chairman- ip . RESOLVED: That , Jeannine Kirby, The Supervisor is authorize, and di ected to file an application and forms prescribed by th. ROLL CALL Jeannine Kirby Supervisor Present Herbert Beckwith Councilman Absent Paul Butler Councilman Present Jeffrey Cleveland Councilman Present Larry Tvaroha Councilman Present Bonita Boles Town Clerk Absent Richard John Town Attorney Present VISITORS: Philip Munson Sr . , Linda Hirvonen, Stuart Stein, Harry Missirian, Bruno Schickal and wife . Harry Missirian and Stuart Stein gave a presentation to the Board regarding the proposed reapportionment . No action was taken at this time . The Town Board felt that it was appropriate to acknowledge the dedicated service of this Lansing citizen and the following resolution was duly made by Mr . Cleveland and seconded by Mr . Tvaroha and unanimously passed. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board recognizes the dedicated • public service of Barbara Barry who served as Chairman of the Lansing Youth Services Commission from July 1988 to January 1992 . In recognizing the efforts of this citizen, the Town Board calls the attention to all residents of the Town of Lansing that the democratic working of Town government depends upon the time, effort and dedication of its citizens willing to act in a non-paid position. Democracy is only as good as the people who live within a community and it is like the old adage "you only get what you put in" . As a result of the dedicated service of Barbara Barry , the Town of Lansing can feel proud of the accomplishments of the Youth Services Commission under Barbara ' s Chairmanship . The Town Board thanks her for her efforts as Chairman and is delighted that she will continue as an active member of the Youth Services Commission. Vote of Town Board . . . (Aye) Jeannine Kirby , Supervisor RESOLUTION I , BONITA BOLES, the duly qualified Clerk of the Town of Lansing, New York do hereby certify that the following resolution was adopted at a special meeting of the Town Board held on February • 12 , 1992 and is on file and of record, and that said resolution has not been altered, amended or revoked, and is in full force and effect . RESOLVED: That , Jeannine Kirby, The Supervisor is authorized and directed to file an application and forms prescribed by the New York State Office of Parks , Recreation and Historic Preservation for financial assistance in accordance with the provision of the Land and Water Conservation Fund in an amount not to exceed 19 February 12 , 1992 continued $250 , 000 . 00 and upon approval of said request to enter into and execute a project agreemnt with the State for such financial assistance to this municipality for the Myers Park Expansion.
