Area Variances
Applicant: Dandy Mini -Mart
Location: Corner of Ridge Road and East Shore Drive; Tax Parcel Number 31.-6-9.1, 31.-6-10,
31.-6-11, 31.-6-13, 31.-6-14, 37.1-1-2
Project Description: The applicant is applying for area variances to allow for the addition of
signs beyond that which is permitted under §210 — Signs.
SEAR: This is a part of a Type I action currently under the review of the Planning Board.
Anticipated Action: Public Hearing
Motion to Open the Public Hearing for Dandy Mini -Mart at 6:35.
Motion: Jack Young Seconded: Rick Hayes (Motion Carried)
Summary of Discussion:
• Jamie Gensel described the project.
• The price piece of the monument signs will not be included in the sign calculations, as
they are mandated by New York State. The applicant will update that information for
the next meeting.

• Several members of the public voiced their concerns regarding the quantity and size of
the signs.
• There are concerns that the Town's rural nature would be diminished with additional
signage.
• Several members of the public stated that no other businesses in the vicinity of
proposed Dandy Mini -Mart have signs similar to what they are proposing to install.
Motion to Close the Public Hearing for Dandy Mini -Mart at 7:26pm.
Motion: Mary Stoe Seconded: Rick Hayes (Motion Carried)
Comments regarding SEAR determination:
• The Zoning Board does not have any comments or recommendations for the Planning
Board regarding SEAR.
