Randall, Planning Director 14 15 Co-Chair Carrie Koplinka-Loehr opened the meeting at 6:32 pm 16 17 Approved the March 4, 2020 CAC meeting minutes. 18 19 Public Comments via email to tolcodes@lansingtown.com 20 - No Public Comments by email before or while meeting was live streaming on YouTube 21 at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs2FgU2xFnDyGS8DwXgoJwA 22 23 Work Plan 24 - Carrie has created a draft work plan to make sure the CAC is on task and who is contributing to 25 each project. 26 - Other members of the CAC are welcome to edit and add to this document. 27 - Carrie will redistribute the edited version of this document to the CAC members. 28 - There is a concern from several members regarding the number of projects and member 29 availability coming into their respective busy seasons. 30 - This plan could be put on hold if the CAC is asked to comment on the ORES Regulation Siting. 31 Web page(s) for the CAC on the Lansing site. 32 - Jenna Hoellerer is creating a new website. 33 - CAC members are welcome to suggest what they would like to see included. 34 - The documents that the CAC members have been working hard on are almost to the point 35 where they can be posted for public viewing. 36 - Tom has created a Vegetative Buffer document that could be included. 37 - CAC members are willing to have names listed, but no photos or bios publicly accessible. 38 Page 1 of 2 39 Scenic Resources Inventory 40 - Robyn needs clarification on total number of sites to be able to do a write up for them. 41 - The proposed sites need to be numbered. 42 - The sites could use better descriptions. 43 - Tom is willing to continue to build the document with photos. 44 - Carrie will put together a short presentation of the Natural Resource Inventory for the Town 45 Board Meeting April 21'.This will give the Town Board an idea of what the CAC has been 46 working on. It also gives the CAC more time to complete the Scenic Resources Inventory 47 appendix. 48 - The CAC is aiming to have the Scenic Resource Inventory completed by the close of business 49 May 121n 50 Discussion: 51 - Karen brought up a concern about the use of brine rather than rock salt on Town Roads. 52 o The concern is not the use, but more the sourcing of the materials being used. 53 o Tom stated that the brine solution may cause more damage to the roads because it 54 penetrates the road surface more effectively than the rock salt. 55 o The CAC members will keep their ears open and may bring this topic up at a future 56 meeting. 57 - Carrie,Tom, and David Wolfe met with Cornell Orchards. 58 o Cornell plans to sell 70 of the 96 acres. 59 o There are concerns over the Cargill mine 2000 ft below this property. If the property 60 becomes heavily developed, it could potentially cause a collapse in the tunnels. 61 o The CAC can put their hopes for the future of the property, but it may not have any 62 change in the outcome. 63 o Finger Lakes Land Trust does not have an interest in purchasing the orchard property. 64 Co-Chair Carrie Koplinka-Loehr called the meeting to be Adjourned at 8:34 pm. 65 66 Minutes executed by Heather Dries.
