Scenic Resource Inventory.
- Karen has built an interactive map for all the sites that have been reviewed by the CAC
members. The map specifies which sites the members would like to keep, delete, and add.
- Carrie has built a spreadsheet listing the site numbers, who visited them, if they should be kept
or deleted. We focused on columns E,F, &G, which rates the sites as distinctive, noteworthy, or
characteristic.
- Point 1: It was residential, not scenic. Delete
- Point 2:There are two points very close together. Merge them. 360-degree views.Very
beautiful. Untouched by human hands. Between distinctive and noteworthy.
- Point 3: Lovely. Would hate to see another powerplant there, but there are plenty of other,
better, options.
- Points 4&5 were mixed up. Delete point 4, keep point 5. Point 5 has beautiful views.
- Points 6,7, &8:They are all waterfalls and caves. They are beautiful. Some of these points may
not be vulnerable, but we can still include them, even if it is or will be a protected space.
- We skipped Andra's points because she was not present.

- Point 9: Robyn did not visit, but as a point on the lake, she imagines it is beautiful.
- Point 26:This is the iconic point at Myers. It is a view from the dock that is between the
lighthouse and the point.
- Point 54: Robyn suggests this point should be moved toward the point more. It would provide a
much more expansive view.
- Robyn proposed a point at the top of Myers Hill. There are Osprey platforms and birdboxes. It
provides a view going into Myers Park.
- Robyn proposed a point on Lake Shore Road. You are standing at lake level, with the railroad in
the foreground.
- Robyn proposed a point at Ludlowville falls. It must have been an oversight. 150-180-degree
views.
- Robyn proposed a point at the NYSDEC fishing access on Salmon Creek. This point may already
be protected.
- Point 51: It is pointing directly at a Victorian home and a wood pile. Perhaps it is meant to be a
'downtown Ludlowville' marker. This could be a cultural point, but not scenic.
- Point 38: Perhaps meant to be on the bridge. At the time Robyn visited, the bridge was closed.
Lovely views, but not jaw dropping.
- Point 36: Robyn suggested this point be moved slightly. This point seems to be pointing in the
wrong direction, but if turned, there are nice views of the lake.
- Point 37:This a view from the track parking lot. It is not nice. Delete.
- Point 45: Robyn felt that this point was too far north. This a nice view of a long, open field, with
distant hills.
- Point 46: Long views of a farm field. Robyn adjusted the point on this one too. Distant lake
views.
- Point 27:This point could be moved a little, which might provide a better view. It's ok, but not
great.
- We skipped John Greenly's points because he was not present.
- Point 14:This point is a pile of dirt and rocks. Delete.
- Point 48:There is a very good view across the lake. Keep.
- Point 20: John Fleming suggested this point be moved down the hill slightly. There are distant
views.
- Point 16:This point is overlooking the airport. This could look better during a different time of
the year. Would like to revisit at some point. May be a chance for distant views of the southern
hills.
- Points 59 & 60: Both points a great. We probably only need one of them.
- Point 61:This is a view of a wooded trail. Not anything spectacular. Delete.
- Point 62:This is a point next to the Lab. It is looking out over the pond. It should be moved
inside the Village boundary.
- We do need to decide on the 12 sites that will be sent to C.J. for the 360-degree photos.
- Between late April and the end of summer, we could see our first large scale solar project in the
town. This would be helpful to have completed by then. It will also be added into the scenic
overlay map.
- We need to make sure we have a range of views, not just lake views.
- Carrie will add columns on her spreadsheet for each member and then they can rank the points
on their own. There will need to be very clear instructions on how to rank them.
- Great Job by everyone!
