E. Town of Lansing Engineer Lorraine Moynihan Schmitt, Esq . Public Present Nick Schipanski Doug Baird General Business Li.n Davidson, Chairman called the Planning Board Meeting to order at 7: 15PM. Nick Schipanski -Tompkins County Water Resource Council- Summary of recent study on Wetlands Mr. Schipanski stated the Tompkins County Water Council has commissioned a study to look at changes in Federal Wetland Regulations and how they will affect and or protect the local area . A presentation and handout was provided to the Members present. Additional copies of the handout are available in the Planning Department. Public Comments/Concerns Doug Baird : Appalled with the scope of the proposed changes . The In-house Checklist is a large concern of his . Mr . Baird states the proposed changes are just the opposite of what the Town' s Comprehensive Plan states their intent is, specifically for the R1 District. ! "v .D R A_E~ T 04/28/08 Planning Board Lin. Davidson advised Mr . Baird that he will share his concerns with the Town • • Board at their next joint Meeting . Matthew Besemer, Town Board Liaison expressed to the Members that the Town Board will be meeting again to discuss Wednesday, April 23, 2008 Meeting. Mr. Besemer did indicate that the Town Board is pretty much in agreement with how the process of Site Plan Review will take place. It is Mr . Besemer's understanding that once a Site Plan Review Checklist has been undertaken by the Planning Department, it then will go to the Planning Board for a final write off. Larry Zu.idema made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8 : 32 PM . Thomas Ellis seconded .
