10 Bud Shattuck, Councilman — Report
11 Mr. Shattuck advised the Planning Board Members that were present, that the Town
12 Board had accepted the proposed Ordinance "as is", as were the maps . Some language
13 needs to be reviewed. Bradley Griffin has volunteered to take on that task. The
14 numbering needs to be corrected. A Public information session will be held on June 4,
15 2003 , and Public Hearings will most likely be held on June 18 , 2003 and again on July
16 02, 2003 .
17 The Parkland Recreation Committee will be looking at land across the road from Town
18 Hall to see what is viable for that area. They will be presenting on Wednesday, May 21 ,
19 2003 at the Town Board Meeting.
111 20 The Village of Lansing has recently proposed to change their fee schedule for Special
21 Permits . Also, they are scheduled to speak tonight about their Open Space Land Core
22 Committee . They now have put view shed restrictions on buildings that are on private
23 property.
24 The County Board will be addressing the personal watercraft issues at their meeting on
25 Tuesday, May 20, 2003 . They haven ' t changed it a lot, however, they have invoked New
26 York State Navigation Law § 46 looking to create a vessel regulation zone on portions of
27 Cayuga Lake that lie within Tompkins County. This looks like it may take away the
28 jurisdiction of the individual towns despite the Home Rule. Lansing is checking with the
29 Association of Towns Council to find out for sure.
30 Mr. Shattuck recently received a copy of the City' s Cell Tower Ordinance with the
31 County' s changes that references a few items of interests . At this time Mr. Shattuck has
32 not had the opportunity to review the material, but will have by the time the Planning
33 Board holds their next meeting. The Planning Board will be reviewing this material as it
34 will become a permanent Planning document.
35 Larry Sharpsteen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9 : 15 PM. Tom Ellis seconded.
36 VOTE : ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. The meeting was
37 adjourned.
