22 Public Comment
23 Mr. Alvin Feldzamen appeared before the board requesting a few minutes of their time in
24 regards to an issue concerning the "future road" off of Whispering Pines Drive .
25 Mr. Feldzamen voiced his concerns to the board in regards to what is now a no outlet
26 area, which eventually will connect to a future road that will run East and West. As a
27 concern for children that live in that neighborhood, Mr. Feldzamen and his neighbors
28 would like to keep that as an area that does not encourage thru traffic to Warren Road. It
29 has been observed by Mr. Feldzamen that on one street in the area they have speed
30 bumps . The question was asked of the board if they ever put in speed bumps, and are
31 they legal .
32 They board advised Mr. Feldzamen that the road he was speaking of is Northwood, and
33 that is a private driveway . Larry Sharpsteen explained that the problem with speed bumps
34 is in the winter the plows hit them and they leave packed snow and ice . The packed snow
35 and ice between them becomes a driving hazard from ice . Viola Miller reminded
36 everyone that many years ago when that subdivision was proposed there was to be a
37 future road there. Due to life safety issues in a development of that depth, you have to
38 have more than one way in and out of the development. By general and good Planning
39 practice, the Town and the State does not like to see Dead End developments . Connector
40 roads for easy access by emergency vehicles have to be provided and planned for. Bud
• 41 Shattuck also advised Mr. Feldzamen that this project is down the road a ways .

Subject : Planning Board Schedule
Good Morning Nancy,
As I was changing my calendar this am , I noticed that we only have 1 Planning Board meeting scheduled for May .
(our 2nd meeting falls on a Holiday) Do you think we should set up for a 2nd meeting ?
I realize that we do have a "working ", meeting with the Town Board on Wed . May 7th , so I ' m not considering that
one to be a Planning Board mtg .
Let me know what you think.
Thanks ,
Rachel
