George T'otman also 19 attended . The board members discussed the training . Lin Davidson entered at 6 : 42 PM. 20 NEW BUSINESS 21 Review of the Cotnprehensive Plan 22 The board reviewed and discussed possible changes in SECTIONSI-III of die Town of Lansing 23 Comprehensive Plan . The following changes and corrections were suggested ; 24 SECTION I- TN'.IMDDD 'TMOD 25 Page 2 , Paragraph Two : A public water supply has also become available . The Bolton 26 Point eater system began operation in 1976 . Through an Agreement of Municipal 27 Cooperation the Bolton Paint system supplies high quality water to five municipalities in 28 'Tompkins County ' • ,;t of the-sou-Chem part of-them--To . Growth & Development 6 Paragraph Two , First Sentence : Within this overall growth orientation, the Town also intends to support viable agricultural activity, to safeguard historic natural features es stated in the Unique Natural Areas (A. A .A .), to achieve a high level 9 of land use efficiency, to develop and maintain a quality environment and to retain 10 those important characteristics that are prized by Lansing residents . Agriculture 12 First GOAL : Practices l nnd managed by individual farm owners to benefit 13 farm operations, preserve farmland and conserve natural resources, 15 Page I4, Subtitle 3 . Traffic and Transportation : The board suggested getting the 15 committee reports from Tom Aeiderkom in order to supplement this section. 16 Add GOAL : A public mass transit system to serve the Anmu to provide t convenient and efficient means of travel to places of work, commerce, and 15 public services within the town . 9 OBJECTIVE b . To achieve and preserve the most appropriate function for Worth 2 Triphammer Road, Warren Woad , Routes 34 and 34B as major connectors . 31 Page 12 , Subtitle 4 . Sewer and Water Systems • 22 First GOAL: Public water and sewer services available in those areas of the 23 Town where the Comprehensive Plan indicates ( turn major development and , 4 growth, or where Dare currently exists a serious need to safeguard the 23 environment, 26 Page 16 , Subtitle 2 . Town Center — The board suggested rewriting this section in a ink different context . Viola Miller suggested developing a sort of sketch plan to show the Town Board to see if they like it. 4 Page 21 , Subtitle 10 . Parks and Recreation 5 OBJECTIVE b : Viola Miller stated that this is something that the Town 13aord 6 has never accepted , they have never done it , and it is something they do not have 7 in the zoning. The board decided they would check on it . 8 9 David Lippert moved to adjourn the meeting at 9 : 15 PM . Larry Sharpsteen seconded . VOTE : ALL IN 10 FAVOR.
