17 George Tatman passed out copies of the minutes of October 1 I , 1999 .
ilb Jackie Baker and Viola Miller stated that they had attended the training sessions in . George T'otman also
19 attended . The board members discussed the training . Lin Davidson entered at 6 : 42 PM.

21 Review of the Cotnprehensive Plan
22 The board reviewed and discussed possible changes in SECTIONSI-III of die Town of Lansing
23 Comprehensive Plan . The following changes and corrections were suggested ;

25 Page 2 , Paragraph Two : A public water supply has also become available . The Bolton
26 Point eater system began operation in 1976 . Through an Agreement of Municipal
27 Cooperation the Bolton Paint system supplies high quality water to five municipalities in
28 'Tompkins County ' • ,;t of the-sou-Chem part of-them--To . The
29 availability of reliable public water has been a major stimulus to residential growth as fur
30 north as-Seatd-Doping and has produced e dramatic change in the rural character of

First Sentence : As a part of this 2-ddP Comprehensive Plan Update, a number of
important issues of interest and concern related to future land use and •
a development have been identified and discussed by the Planning Board _

also intends to support viable agricultural activity, to safeguard historic natural

10 those important characteristics that are prized by Lansing residents .

different context . Viola Miller suggested developing a sort of sketch plan to show
the Town Board to see if they like it.

5 OBJECTIVE b : Viola Miller stated that this is something that the Town 13aord
6 has never accepted , they have never done it , and it is something they do not have
7 in the zoning. The board decided they would check on it .

9 David Lippert moved to adjourn the meeting at 9 : 15 PM . Larry Sharpsteen seconded . VOTE : ALL IN
10 FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY .
