Review of Minutes from Tune 12, 1995
Page Two, Paragraph Two - Brad Griffin corrected the spelling from myses to mysis. Brad
Griffin made a motion to accept the minutes as corrected; Al White seconded. VOTE: ALL
IN FAVOR; MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
® Review of Minutes from Tune 29, 1995
Robert Todd clarified that the Planning Board took a vote as to whether or not to require 150
feet minimum of road frontage within the Rural Agricultural and Rural Highway Districts.
Brad Griffin, Cheryl Nickel, and Robert Todd had voted against this requirement but the
majority vote won. Lin Davidson made a motion to accept the minutes as corrected; Al
White seconded . VOTE: ALL IN FAVOR; MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
Review of Minutes from July 10, 1995
Page Two/Three, Resolution - Brad Griffin indicated that before that resolution was published
in the Town Newsletter, he slightly revised it to read, "The Town of Lansing Planning Board
reviewed the plans for the new proposed town office. The Planning Board has met with the
Town Board to discuss that review. It is resolved that the location, design, and space
allocations meet the real needs of the Town of Lansing and are consistent with the goals
expressed in the Town's 2010 planning effort. " Brad Griffin made a motion to accept the
minutes as corrected; Jackie Baker seconded . VOTE: ALL IN FAVOR; MOTION CARRIED
UNANIMOUSLY
LAND USE ORDINANCE
110 Larry Sharpsteen informed Tom Niederkorn that at the last meeting, the Planning Board
completed review of the Low Density (R-1 ) District. Each item that was changed was
reviewed for clarity with Tom.

The Planning Board is considering further review of recommending to the Town Board the

closure of Triphammer Terrace from North Triphammer Road, and for realigning Hillcrest
Road to a T-stop intersection at North Triphammer Road . This will be discussed further at
the next meeting.
The Planning Board began an item-by-item review of land use or activities in the Moderate
Density (R-2) District.
Through the review process, some discussion surrounded the following items within the R-2
District: cabin or cottage for seasonal occupancy or use; public or private club; crop farming
versus farming with animals, and those with farm animals as pets; commercial outdoor
recreation; natural resource exploration; scientific research laboratory; and wind mill, solar
panel, and similar alternative domestic energy source .
At the next meeting, the Planning Board will continue their review of existing and paper
roads in the town, and at the August 28 meeting will begin reviewing the Conservation and
Lake Upland Districts .
This meeting ended at 9 :40 p .m.
