OTHER BUSINESS Proposed Budget for Next Year - Larry Sharpsteen asked the board members if they saw any reason why this board could not operate on the same budget as was submitted last year, a with the exception of the increased amount to cover the completion of the Lansing 2010 project. No one had any objections at that time. Draft of Policy Goals and Objectives for Comprehensive Plan Document -- Tom Niederkorn joined the Planning Board for the discussion and review of the goals and objectives. Larry Sharpsteen questioned how a proposal of near 40 pages would be presented to the public. Tom Niederkorn responded that a synopsis would be prepared along with charts and slide shows. He felt it would be important for the Town Board to give their input to the plan before it is presented to, the public. The first public hearing is scheduled to take place in November. Instead, it was decided to have a public information meeting where there can be a better exchange between the public and the board members. There were will facilitators used at both the informational meetings and the public hearings. George Totman stated that from his knowledge it is recommended that before anything is 41111/ turned over to the Town Board, the Planning Board should have a public hearing. Tom Niederkorn stated that he will look into this law and provide clarification for the Planning Board. .c.
