Vacant Seat on the Planning Board
Larry Sharpsteen recommended Arlene Dende and Barney Tremina as two possible candidates for the
current vacant seat on the Planning Board . As far as requirements for the position, Linda Hirvonen stated
that the Planning Board likes to keep things balanced both geographically and philosophically.
Informational Meetings Scheduled
Cheryl Nickel stated that she has contacted Joan Hardy about presenting to her group at Woodsedge,
and has tentatively set a date for November 10, but it conflicts with the Planning Federation meeting.
She said that she will contact them to reschedule . She stated that there already was concern about the
used car lot going in on East Shore Drive . Woodsedge looks directly over this lot, and the lights are of
concern , as is the closeness of the building to the road.
Cheryl also stated that she will be contacting the Lansing Historical Society and the Lyons Club to try to
schedule an informational meeting .
Industrial Zone
Linda asked if anyone had a chance to review the environmental assessment form for the proposed
change to the industrial zone. She was concerned that this project is getting farther behind and would
like to pass it on to the Town Board as soon as possible.
There are not that many houses that will be impacted , and Linda felt that they could pinpoint them on the
map. The map of the south end is done with the lot lines and developments on it. Tom Neiderkorn is
working on a continuation of that map. He has copies of all the tax maps from the Town and is putting
them together. Larry Tvaroha recommended that before this is taken to the public, that a better map be
prepared.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8 :45 p. m .
