Proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance: Airport Fight Path
October 2, 1992
The purpose of this proposed amendment to the town zoning ordinance is
two-fold:
1. To reduce the number of potential residences that could be
constructed in the flight path hazard zone at the Tompkins County

which planting is installed and maintained by the property owner so
as to provide a visual screen between properties. Such screen shall

combination dense enough and high enough to effectively interrupt or
y block views. Berms, mounds-and decorative fencing can be used in
combination with plantings when the objective of screening can be met.
