ALSO : G . Totman ( Ordinance Officer ) , Lou Emmick ( Town Board ) ,
members of the public .
I . Minutes - September 18 , 1989
Add : " The motion was made to accept the Marinos subdivision
on Triphammer Rd . " etc . , bottom page 2 , Section IX .
MOTION ; A motion to accept as corrected was made by
C . Kammen , seconded by R . Hagin , carried
unanimously .
II . SUGGESTION - from L . Emmick ( Town Board ) .
When there are roads involved in a subdivision it would save
the Town a great deal of money if the project engineer were
required to certify the subdivision roads . It was suggested
that this be discussed for possible inclusion in the revised
Subdivision Rules and Regulations .
® III . PUBLIC HEARING - William Meal - 7 : 45 PM
A . Public notice was read as it appeared in the Ithaca
Journal .
B . Location - 2 major subdivisions
1 . Fenner Rd . - 5 lots
2 . Dates Rd . - 6 lots
C . Public Comment
Concern for water supply . Concern that ground water
supply will be depleted with development .
D . C . Kammen moved to close the public hearing at 7 : 55 PM ,
seconded by L . Sharpsteen , carried unanimously .
L . Sharpsteen moved to reopen the public hearing at 7 : 56
due to the late arrival of members of the public .
Seconded by C . Kammen , carried unanimously .
Those who attended were primarily interested in the sub -
division process and time was spent explaining what we
were doing .
At 8 : 05 L . Hirvonen moved to close the public hearing ,
seconded by L . Sharpsteen .
Further discussion .
At 8 : 10 , by unanimous vote , the public hearing was
closed .
IV . PROPOSED SUBDIVISION - TACKMAN
.010 Location : Buck Rd .
Size : One lot - 150X225 , with the remaining lot of 160X225
IV . Tackman continued
Public water is available .
No new roads or utilities are proposed .
MOTION : C . Kammen moved to accept the subdivision as
presented and to waive the public hearing . R . Hagin
seconded , carried unanimously .
V . NYS PLANNING FEDERATION AWARD
Planning Board member Viola Miller has been awarded the
Irving R . Levine award for her long and outstanding
contributions to the community in the field of planning
and development .
Members extended their congratulations .
VI . WM . MEAL SUBDIVISION continued
MOTION : Since all required information has been submitted
and there appears to be no negative impact on the
area ; and since there seem to be no serious
objections from the community , it was moved by C .
Kammen to approve the 2 major subdivisions located
on Fenner and Dates Rds . as presented by Wm . Meal .
Seconded by L . Sharpsteen , carried unanimously .
