At approximately eleven AM this day I received a call from Mr . Totman e Mr . Tatman i of ormaed me that this e vening , at 7 : 30 F' M , a hearing wa. s scheduled to be held in ✓ eference to the Avery minor subdivision . From a previous conversation on wi t_ h Mrs . Avery it was my underist. andi ng that a parcel for each of the four Avery children was to be developed as well as a parcel for Mr „ Alvin White , chairman of the Planning Board . Thus being numbered at five , i t was my understanding that this pro iec. t was a maior subdivision . I am aware that Mrs . Avery has neglected to update her t itles and deeds , and thus may attempt to assert that this is not a major subdivision . Such a posture is not really in keeping with the spirit. of Town regulations . Moreover a further review of the property titles and deeds involved w ill show , that in fact , all of this property originated from one parcel . A further review of the land itself will readily demonstrate through the prescence of cattails and swa. rnpgr• : ss that this property is indeed , wetlands . It is my understanding that wetlands cannot be disturbed , except for agricultural production . Also I would advise you that Mr . Alvin White , your chairman , publical. .ly stated last March that while he plows his property , which is directly contiguous to the Avery property , his plow rides on the bedrock . Obviously , according to Mr „ White , this wetland property is not well suited for residential devel opment For these reasons as well as others outlined in my letter of 9 - 19 - 88 to the Town Board I kindly request that this MAJOR subdivision not proceed further until. ;:an E .
